My daughters are still in Girl Scouts and I volunteered for 7 years. Good organizations have rules about the # of girls vs the # of adults. And no adult in today's world should conduct a meeting with children alone for the safety of the children and adults. People need to step up. You want your children to participate in great programs and yet you are unwilling to put in some time. It is a great opportunity to get to know your child and their friends outside of your home. Take advantage of it. Learn something new and enjoy yourself and the children. You may surprise yourself!

I did become a girl scout leader so my daughter would have a troop to join. That was last year & I did it again this year just because it was fun. Plus now scout meetings are 'our' thing instead of something she does on her own. We meet twice a month.
