Pro's:
If the 2 people are fighting all the time, it's better for the children because although the fighting may continue, it'll have a different quality to it. Instead of Dad and Mom screaming at each other in person in the house, Mom's screaming at Dad on the phone and likely hanging up on him or vice versa.
Living with someone you can't stand makes you crazy so the custodial parent is more likely to act saner if they aren't actually living in the same home with the other parent.
CONS:
The children's standard of living goes down in divorce. (Use a search engine to check this one out if you don't believe me.) Two incomes paying for one house and the vehicles goes farther than two incomes paying for two houses, two lawyers, court costs, etc. Plus there are a lot of deadbeat non-custodial parents who don't support their kids.
The children spend less time with their parents. They get to see the non-custodial parent when the court (and often when the custodial parent) want and not when the children want.

My parent had a divorce as of matter of fact i went through two divorce. And it's not easy.. The cons: is that you can't talk bad about the other spouse because the child will hate them or them will wand up hating you there is a web site you can go to..www.kidshealth.org It help my girlfriend , may be it can help you. Just keep your head up. Things will be just fine. Like I said don't talk bad about each other around the kids. Be careful if you do, children are very nosy.

Pros: Mom and dad fighting all the time will stop.
Cons: Kids are scared for life seeing mom and dad fighting, kids are scared for life after seeing one of their parents move out, kids are tossed between two parents until they are 18, change is hard on children so one of their parents leaving will be traumatic to a child, most likely the children will have to watch one or the other (or maybe even both) parents slowly get depressed, kids will feel scared/nervous since usually single parents have a hard time making ends meet by themselves, the list goes on and on...
