I am a member of a gay men's social club and every year we have a Halloween dress-up party. We all dance and have fun and one thing usually leads to another and we go off still in masks to have some private, annonymous fun. I wont go into too much detail but I later found out that my mystery man that night was my own son. I don't know if I can deal with my own flesh and blood being gay. Now I'm trying to decide how to punish him for going to a place like that when he is only 17. AND having sex with a stranger is NOT how he was raised.

Our neighbor brought her 12 year old daughter to the small town where my mother-in-law lives and watches my children (12 & 11). The neighbor girl just showed up with no invitation or anything. The rule is that my kids can only have one friend over and those friends have already been designated by us. This little girl is not one of those designated. She shows up at my mother-in-laws. I was furious at the other mom for "dumping" her daughter off without speaking to me or my mother-in-law first. This little girl had no way home (5 miles away). My daughter did not invite her not did she want her there hanging out. I wanted to confront the mom but my husband says that we should just tell the girl she can't be there and not worry about what happens from there. I think the mother is just plain stupid and rude. How would you handle this situation? I have kept my mouth shut so that my husband doesn't get upset with me but I am still very mad by the whole thing. Am I wrong?

She is lying about hurting her sister, blaming things on her, lying about things that get her into trouble. Now, I know that lying is a common childhood thing, but it really seems to be getting out of control.
Is there anything I can do besides explaining to her why it's wrong and putting her in time out?

One of my best friends, who is like a little sister to me, revealed to me that she is in an incestuous relationship with her father. I was speachless at the time she told me. I just can't look at her the same way again...

My husband and I bought his daughter and bike last year. We tried many times to teach her how to ride. She just can't seem to learn. So we had to put training wheels on it. She can't ride where her friend can see her because she says she feels stupid with training wheels. Any suggestions to give her some confidence? I feel bad for her but I'm not sure what to do she don't even want to try it without the training wheels.

My sister has 3 kids 6,7, and 11. She makes the 11 year old watch the two younger boys all the time. Like theres never a time when my niece isn't watching her lil brothers while my sister is out chill'n, shes 28. My niece has been doin this since she was about 5. My niece asked her mom if she could come stay the night over here with me and my sister's response was who's gonna be home with the boys. I was thinking wtf her lil brothers aren't her kids and not even her responsibility. I think she needs to get it together because one day somebody may call child services on her because she is never home with them doing whatg a mother should do. Oh yeah...its 12:32 am and she's here at my house while her kids are home alone.

We have an 11year old staying with us for the summer. Whenever she is on the internet, I am beside her. I want to know what she is doing and who she is talking to and what she is talking about. She is accustomed to being online completely alone; but she understands that I monitor her because I love her and want to keep her safe. Do you do the same?

What do you believe?here is what I believe and why..?

Its all in the Bible that you should use a rod on your children so they dont bring you to shame. verses from King James Bible.
Proverbs 19:18 Chasten they son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
Proverbs 20:30 The blueness of a wond cleanseth away evil.
Proverbs 22: 6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
Proverbs 23:13-14 With hold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
Proverbs 29: 15-17 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame... Correct thy son and he shall give thee rest, yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
