Yes tell her. You might be surprised at the reaction you get.
You'll be glad you did.

Yes you should. This is a part of growing up. My daughter is 13 and just started her period a few months ago. We were expecting it though because she was the last one in her class to start. Your mom needs to be there for you don't hold back telling her anything.

Definitely! Your mom is in the best position to know about it and of course, tell you what it's all about. You shouldn't keep it from her. It's a sign that you are becoming a young woman and your mom is the right person to know it first. Don't delay! Go ahead and tell her the news.

yes you should, your mom should be your best friend, if your mom finds out before you telling her she might feel sad because you are not sharing with her. you are already a woman. congratulations. tell everything to your mother, because she is the only one that is going to be there when hard times come. be careful, if you want to have sex, protecto yourself because you might get pregnant and that will ruin your life. a baby is something beautiful, but at the appropiate time. do you know where i learned this?, form my mother. oh, and by the way, comgratulations!!!

yes, yes you should. i got mine on a chirstmas break and i didn't tell my mom. i just stole pads from her bathroom. i was so stressed out that whole week that i was making myself sick. then, i didn't get it again until march. and i wish i knew then wearing two pads on top of each other doesn't give you more protection. when i got up from the lunch table i had blood all over my pants. luckily my best friend was there for me and she let me wear her hoodie on my waist. but i called my mom and told her i was sick, so she picked me up from school and took me home. (i still didn't tell her.) she actually didn't find out until later that night when she had to go to a cheerleader meeting for me and my friends told her. she was pretty upset that i didn't tell her.
anyways, the point is: that you need to tell your mom. no matter how hard it seems, it's gonnna get worse if you don't. believe me, it makes you sick cuz you're always worrying about it.

Yes, you should. Always keep your parents informed of things that happens to you especially in the area of health, unless of course you think it might seriously distressed them. You should also inform your doctor though not necessarily in a hurry. You can tell him the next time you see him unless the matter is unnatural or serious or you are uncertain.

Yes! You didnt do anything wrong, it is a natural part of life. She may get a little emotional, because her daughter is growing up, but if you dont tell her, she'll figure it out anyway (pads/tampons missing... things like that), then be upset that you woulndt share it with her.

Congratulations!!
Tell her....it's good practice to talk to your parents especially as you face the challenges of your teen years........you'll find (as weall eventually did) that our parents are in our corner and will help you especially when the rest of the world turns their back....in SADD there's an agreement between parent and child that the parent will come and get you, no questions asked, instead of you driving home drunk/or/getting into a car with a drunk driver. That's the kind of relationship I have with my kids but in all things....I will help them pay consequences as long as they come to me and tell me the truth.
