The worrying never really goes away. The problem will reduce as your baby starts talking/ "reporting". Put hidden cameras, or ask a friend or neighbour to keep passing by without warning so that the maid is kept alert that she has to be kept at her best behaviour. Also, try yo use your gut. if you do not trust the maid, get another one. when you get one you like, you have to consider whether your baby is happy with her/always crying; gaining /losing weight, becoming quiet or playful with the other childresn etc. Do not compromise on your rules, but give the maid some breathing space to manouvre and become innovative-after all, we do depend on their services in the end.

Just make sure that your going to be ready to see what the video might show if you decide to put a hidden camera. If you have a gut feeling that something is going on, I suggest you follow your instinct and stop leaving your baby with her. Just remember that noone will watch your child like you or your family would (most of the time). Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

If you are doubtful if your baby is well cared for, I suggest that you do make surprise visits at home. I believe that the maid knows what your schedule is and that in those times, you are in the best position to spot if there is something wrong going on.

I agree with the ones who say take your baby with you. The maid is there to take care of the house, not your baby. And if you are worried about what is going on while you are away, then you don't trust her. Take it upon yourself to make sure baby is ok.

CCTV is the best. But if you can you should not leave a 3 month old baby with anybody else for more than a few minutes

A maid? Bloody hell, what century are we in now?
Why have children if you are going to pass them on to other people. Look after your own baby, it's what most of us do everyday, all day, when they are little.
Why do you have a maid anyhow? Do you have a disability that stops you cleaning your own house? You sound lazy and pampered. Get on with it and stop moaning.

In all honesty do not leave your baby with her if you feel you cannot trust her...that does make a whole lot of sense. Your 2 year old does not need to go to play school every single day either.

Never leave your child with anyone you do not trust...I know I don't.

Find playgroups with other moms where all kids of all ages are welcome so you can have all your kids with you.

You can buy a small camera to place somewhere that you know she would keep the baby and record.

If you are that unsure of her then maybe you could take the baby with you?

Bring your baby with you. Get a sling. Why on earth would you leave your baby with someone when you feel worried???

Listen to yourself, trust yourself.

I strongly suggest you try your best to take your baby with you,as for sure no one will care for your child as motherly as you do.If it is still necessary to leave her at home, then try asking a family member (sister, mother, etc) or a neighbour you deeply trust.
