my almost 3 year old doesnt have much interest in potty training, people make me feel like im not pushing her enough, a doctor told me when shes ready youll know, when should i start worrying and should i start pushing the issue?

I went through a bad bad divorce X did whatever she could do to try and keep me from our daughter. She ran me through the mud I attended class after class and did whatever she demanded me to do! Now she tells me that she puts soap on our daughters mouth for saying "I Hate you" and said I am to do the same and went on about how it won't work unless I do it also, I WILL NOT! Its going to be yet another fight. Am I wrong? What to do??

So like yesterday I went to the hospital to see my new baby cousin and I was out in the hallway and overheard a lady 2 doors down saying that she just named her baby Janelle. It made me mad cause that's what I was gonna name my baby that's due in a couple weeks. I don't know if I should change her name now, but I really love it, it's not fair. What should I do?

How long after losing your mucus plug did you go into labor? Just a friendly poll. =) My SIL is due 10/19 (6 days after my wedding jerk haha!) and she just lost her plug, so we're taking bets on when she's gonna go into labor. I personally went 2 weeks after my plug left me. How about you??

I've said since day one that he wasn't to have sweets or cola, but I still catch her giving it to him on occasion. It really pis$es me off because I feel like she's not respecting me as his mother. If coke with take RUST off of a screw, what is it doing to my baby's stomach? My question is.. what do I say to her to get her to finally stop? I don't want to keep her away from her grandson, but I don't know what else to do.

I have narrowed it down to three names for a baby girl. The first name, is named after my mom who has breast cancer, the second name is a name I just liked all of my life, and the third name is my grandmother's name. Now, you might think that my mother and grandmother's names are a little old fashioned, but they really aren't. My grandma has a really modern name, and my mother has a modern name also. Classical and modern.

1. Rachael Elizabeth Coleson (after my mother)
2. Holly Marie Coleson
3. Jessica Anne Coleson (after my grandmother)

My 9 year old son has always been very sensitive. He is not your typical rambunctious boy. He has always been an introvert since he was a little boy. He is a kind and smart too. But at the same time he is your typical goofy kid as long as he is on a one on one basis with a boy or girl. He loves cars and video games. The problem comes down when he is at the playground he says that most kids just seem to ignore him. He says that he tries to join in whatever they are playing but it never works. He always ends up playing alone and it breaks my heart to hear this. He has had an anxiety issue when he was younger. And I wonder if the kids pick thhis up and that is why they ignore him. I worry it will affect his self-esteem in the long run. Especially when he goes to middle school. Do you think a smaller private school will be better or will he have the same problem (he attends public school)?

When my son was born in US at city of San Gabriel in Los Angeles, California & already to made his birth certificate with his chinese give name. but i call his nickname at home so he know his nickname more than his givename therefore when he is going to school is hard for him to call. If he uses his nickname at school need to make the birht certificate with givename & nickname together. But i don't know how to fill out his certificate, because i didn't see it has nickname to fill in. please help me

I did something that i usually don't I have a five year and a three year old son. My oldest has ADHD but the medicine isn't working right. He been totally not behaving and giving me a really attitude. But he kept hurting his little brother. He got a bump from the first time for him pushing him and his little brother hit his head on tv stand and then another one from throwing his belt that he wears on his brother head got another brother bump and bleed a little bit. So i sent my oldest to bed for hurting his brother and not stop behaving. Because he hurt his brother. And let my youngest stay awake. I thought this might help my oldest not to hurt his brother by going to bed early. Thanks

my 8 month old daughter was holding onto the lounge, she loves standing and screams if she has to sit or lie down, i was holding onto her, but then she turned around and grabbed the heater ( it wasn't on thank God) and started falling, I grabbed her to stop her falling, but she was still holding onto the heater and smacked it into her head, she ended up with a little mark and a small bump. I know kids always hurt themselves, but this is the first time my bubba has gotten a "sore", I feel so guilty and like such a bad mum, I love her more than anything. Am I just being a normal mum, I rang my partner at work, I was crying and telling him what happened, he said to relax and she'd be fine and to settle down.

Our daughter is 6.5 years old and has always slept with us. We are now trying to make her sleep in her own room, but we are having a lot of trouble. She screams for HOURS (3 or more) and then finally falls asleep. Then after about 2 hours, she will awake again- and start screaming. We have asked her what is wrong, but she continues to point to our room, and we do our best to explain she is a big girl now and needs to sleep in her won bed...but she screams and keeps us up all night and is not getting any sleep herself. We have tried buying her her own special bed, night lights, special "spongebob" pajamas, tv, everything we can think of.
Please help!
