How long after losing your mucus plug did you go into labor? Just a friendly poll. =) My SIL is due 10/19 (6 days after my wedding jerk haha!) and she just lost her plug, so we're taking bets on when she's gonna go into labor. I personally went 2 weeks after my plug left me. How about you??

Actually I lost my mucus plug twice. You lose it when your cervix begins to dialate, but if you don't go into labor, or if your cervix doesn't continue to dilate it will reform. So I was at 2 cm for about 2 weeks, I lost it when I first dialated to 2cm, then I lost it again about 2 days before going into labor for real.

Lost plug on a Wednesday. Went into labor on Friday. Had baby on Saturday.

A mucus plug is tissuse that dry's at the open and releases when it is no longer needed. It's not very big. When it falls out at least get checkout by a nurse,Not every one know when they lose it. I carried 43 weeks with my first baby and no labor. I had to have planned c-section my baby was 9'1.

I never got the chance to lose mine. I was induced at 37 weeks 1 day. Personally, I think I would have been pregnant for 42 weeks if we'd left my son in me - he was only 6 lbs 4 oz and he didn't come out when I was induced - he waited for me to have a C-section. I wish I could help you :)

I went 3 hours with my first, 4 days with my second :)
