thanks for the nice comments, everyone. :D
i guess i don't like it just 'cause... maybe because i hear it so little. and the fact that its got "***" in it. that can be a pain. :(

I used to like it until Kathy Lee Gifford named her child Cassidy The name now reminds me instantly of Kathy Lee and I hate Kathy Lee so I don't like the name anymore. (No offense)

I love the name Cassidy for a girl.
I think it's very cute. I like it better than Cody.
It's a name that's not heard a lot as a first name, I think that is why I like it so much...
You have a unique name. I wish it was my name....

Both of my children are named after my parents that have passed on, before they got to be grandparents... I think it's a honor when you name someone after someone else in the family...

I don't really like it just for the reason this really annoying popular girl is named Cassidy in my grade. But other than that, it's actually a nice name.

Cassidy is cute. There was an adorable little girl in a preschool class I was teaching for a while with that name. I heard it for a boy, and my husband is more in agreement with that.

It's a great name!
Each and every name will remind people with someone they love or can't stand by association.
If it reminds you of something truly unpleasant, by all means do something about it - like change it
If not, it's a great name and own it proudly! :)
