We were at the park today. My son was chewing on something, I realized it was a cigarette butt!! Argh! He had clearly swallowed some, but then he threw up. Should I be worried??

Just out of curiosity. I've always loved the sound of that name. I guess it gets a bad rap from the "Exorsist". I am a believer in God and a christian. Just really like the flow of that name!?

It is a long shot maybe but I was just curious, I was looking at a couple of online books that you can dowload from $7-$20. These claim to give you tips to potty train in 3 days. One is www.3daypottytraining.com

I am not sure if I am going to try any of these that is why I was just trying to see if anyone out there has and if it helped or worked. I am of course skeptical.

My daughter is 3.5 so I am getting a little desperate. I am not pushing her, nor am I freaking out, I do try to keep consistent with her. I don't even know if she is fully ready, she peed on the potty one time. I read somewhere she should stay dry for 2 hours is one of the signs and she does not do that.
I am just confused.

I heard that after the baby feeds, I should pump the rest out and I will lose more weight. Is this true.

My baby nephew a little over a year old, but he very seldom talks, and prefers to be alone most of the time. His reactions aren't the same as most children, but he is a genuinely beautiful baby boy. I do notice he is into detail when arranging toy blocks and stuff. He also seems to be very gifted with memory. I think he could possibly be savant, but how do I confront my sister on this without hurting her feelings? I feel that he at least deserves an early diagnosis, to get started on some form of therapy already. Somebody please offer advice on how I can approach this sensitive subject with her?

I had an abortion about a year ago. I thought it was the right thing to do. But I find myself constantly thinking about it and wondering what it might be like to have the baby now.

Do these feelings ever go away? Or will I feel regret for the rest of my life?

I live in Arizona, want to open a home based day care. Where do I start? What are the laws, what kinds of things do i need to know? I'm also thinking about leasing property to accomodate more children. Any guidance would probably be more than I have now.

My son is a healthy four year old boy, who is-was full potty trained for well over a year now, however he's had a setback.

While playing Playstation, within the past two months I've found him several times with wet pants. Each time I found him wet my temper grew more stern. This wasn't an accident while alseep or while traveling in the car, this was pure laziness. He didn't want to remove himself from the video game he as enjoying.

If there's anything more than Playstation my son loves it's his Cars movie action figures and playset. He spends hours playing with these toys, it's really heartwarming to see him enjoy himself so much.

With that said, just this past sunday, my son wet himself infront of the Playsttation again, and also soaked my couch too..this time, I LOST IT.

So...I marched up to his bedroon, and allowed him to witness as I took all the Cars toys and tossed them in a black garbage bag and placed it up in the attic, telling him why he can't have them.

Ok, so we have finally decided what we want to name our daughter who is due this July.... Brooke. Now we are stuck on a middle name for her. My husband likes Lynn, but I am not to sure on that one. I mean Brooke Lynn and Brookelyn, New York???? I think it flow together great but something about it just doesn't sit right with me. Was just wondering what you all thought about it or if you had any other ideas. Our last name is Rennie pronounced Ren-knee. Thanks!

I am 36 wks preg and I am high risk I had my other two at 35 1/2wks. My Dr. said that she would'nt deliver even though I haven't been sleeping, eating, and I have been contracting. Many of you told me that I would hear the same thing no matter where I went. But the thing is that my other two c-sections r in two different places and that give me a higher risk of rupturing my scares with strong contractions. I saw another Dr. today at a near by city one that is bigger then mine and have a much better hospital (level 3 vs our level 2) the Dr. that I saw will be doing my c-section tomorrow. I had my complete medical record with me so he would know as much as possible about this pregnancy as well as my past ones. He didn't understand why my Dr. wouldn't just do an amnio and see if the lungs were developed and go from there. And that is what he did. For those who said I should get a second opinion thank you, and for u others Doctors aren't always right so if you have question you should ask.

If so, would you enroll your 4-6 year old into a pre-k program (2-3 hours a day) that focuses on literacy, math and classroom procedures. (the skills on the entrance exam)

Please, I want to know what you would do...not what I should do. It isn't about me personally.

i really dont want to give you a lesson but here it is .yes the name was given to the angel of death. the name MEANS whom God helps. >=[ he was one of the eighth of the nine archangels okay. god appointed him to take the souls of the withered and sickly so they could start a new life. BUT he was appouled by hell so he would sneak in and release some of the souls. god got pissed and banished him from heaven. & thats why death is looked down upon.

My daughter just turned a year and she is both breastfed and bottle fed. I want to start weaning her from the bottle, then eventually from the breast. The problem is that my daughter is very strong willed. She has always been a horrible sleeper and the only way we can get her to sleep is by nursing or with a bottle. People told me just to let her cry it, so I did and she would cry for three hours at a time. I tried this for two weeks before I gave up. If you are a mother of a child like mine you know first hand how hard any type of change can be. I would like some help making this transition as little stressful (for us both) as possible. I know there will be tears, but I can't do three hours of crying anymore.
