Well I do not know about the weight loss because you will just make more and more milk. Nature slows down milk production to fit how much the baby needs. If you "drain" yourself you will make more and more milk! That will increse your weight in milk. This will hurt when the milk keeps coming in.

It is good to pump after the baby nurses so that you can have a stash in an emergency but it won't really cause you to lose much more weight. It will use maybe 200 calories at the most if you are pumping enough to feed another baby but you REALLY don't want to do that. Eating right, and taking it slow but moving your body are the best ways to get the weight off. Your body is not ready for good long walks until at least 2 months after you have had the baby and most experts recommend taking it easy until the baby is at least 6 months old in order to let the mucles and joints heal all the way before stressing them through exercise. Then you should expect it to take at least 9 months to take the weight off as it took 9 months to put it on. Aim for starting to actually exercise when the baby is 6 months old (longer if you had a C-section) and take it slow. Try to ignore the numbers and look at your shape and health, you will have new mucles and there have been changes in muscles since the birth. Muscle weighs more than fat and your body still keeps a lot of extra water around to make milk with. The number on the scale lies right now. Look at shape and health! Good luck and congrats.

No, you won't lose more weight, but you will create extra milk, which can come in handy if you keep it in the freezer. Your milk production works on supply and demand. The more you nurse/express, the more milk you produce.
At this point, your primary concern should be caring for your new baby. If you are moderately active and eat sensibly, you'll lose weight slowly over time. Remember, it took 9 months to gain the weight, so give yourself an equal amount of time to lose it.

No because you'll just have more milk come in. The more the baby eats and/or you pump, the more you make. As the baby is weaned you'll start to make less until it stops. Breast feeding will help you lose some weight though. More than if you hadn't.

If I were you, I would just put baby in the sling and go for a walk. Pumping sounds like an inconvenient way to lose weight! Good luck, and enjoy your walks.

Yes this is true, the more you pump/ or breastfeed the more calories your body burns and you will loose weight, this is why women who breastfeed loose weight faster after having a baby.

No , you will just have more milk. that is how farmers make their cows give more milk. It is called stripping. Your breasts will get larger, but when it is all over they will go flat and sag lower. You are a mammal, you know. We are not all the same, but our adaptive behavior is the same. If you feel the need, go ahead, My dad used to use his girlfriend's extra milk for his coffee. Eww.
