suddenly feel that the cat or dog that they have loved and nourished for years must be abandoned? I see this so often and it breaks my heart. You made a commitment when you adopted that pet and now it is thrown out like day old trash. I am not trolling or looking to stir up trouble, I just don't understand this....

hi, i have a 3 month old daughter who has radial aplasia which basically means that the one of the bones in her forearm didn't grow and she has only 6 fingers in total and no thumbs. her right arm is really short and the elbow is fixed. i had both nhs ultrasounds and a 4d scan at 30 weeks none of which picked up this abnormality which is pretty obvious! i was even told she had 10 fingers and toes by the radiographer so it was a complete shock when she was born and then we were told she could have all manner of syndromes, vater association, heart defects, blood disorders and kidney damage. luckily she hasn't but the testing was very stressful. has anyone else had this type of experience or has a child with radial aplasia who could give advice on what i should be asking for in terms of support and help from the medical profession or could tell me how their child adapts. thanks

has anyone ever experienced post pardum before? my anxiety is super high right now...for example....I don't like being home just me and baby...I get nervous...very anxious...just someone being here puts me at some ease and I tend to feel this way more so at night than anything....I never felt this way when I was pregnant but after having my son it's been one obssesion after another when it comes to worrying....first it was SIDS..I still worry but not as much then and now it has become spider....I started flippin out about any spider that i saw and eventually started crying and stayed away from my house for a few days because of it.....I'm talking with adoctor on monday about this but I wanted to know of anyone elses experiences with this. It also feels a bit harder because I have noone going through the parenthood with me....just me and I know if I had the companionship I might not feel so bad. IT's not easy doing it alone but I love my son with all my heart.

My friend and I were having a debate about this. Legally at 18 you are considered an adult. Before that you have parents or a legal guardian, who has authority over you. Therefore, if you give birth before the age of 18, should you be forced by law to give up your legal rights?

How is it that someone can legally be responsible for a baby/child when they legally still have parents and guardians themselves?

If you are under that age of 18 and do not have a high school degree, than should you not be allowed to have a child?

If you can't take care of yourself legally, how are you going to take care of a child? For example: If you are 16 and in a car accident, your parents have the right to determine your medical care. You have say, but legally your parents make the final decision. If you can't legal make these decisions, should you be caring for a baby?

I believe that baby born to children under the age of 18, should be placed in the care of someone that is over

I brought up four boys on my own and have three grandsons (by my eldest) and they do not want any more children,
What chance is there of having a grandaughter by my others and does it depend on the sex of their wives/girlfriends' siblings?
I desperately want a grandaughter even though I love my grandsons to bits.
Best wishes,
Joan.

I have 3 1/2 year old biracial (white/black) daughters and the only reason I'm mentioning that they're biracial is so that you can get an idea of their hair texture. They have really curly hair that unless it's washed, conditioned, and lathered in coconut oil is just kind of a puffy, curly bush that can be very tangled when it's not done. Well this morning one of my daughters needed to go to the bathroom so I took her and my other daughter was in her playroom (what should be my dining room in a 2 bedroom apartment) and the distance between their playroom and the bathroom is only about 5 feet so when I took my daughter to the bathroom I wasn't concerned with her sister being in the playroom but in the kitchen (which was gated off, we always keep the kitchen gated off) on the counter was a Black & Decker Scum Buster, I don't know if you've ever heard of these but they are a small hand held device that comes with about 4 maybe 5 different types of brush heads meant for different things

I recently (last month) found out I have pcos. First I was ok with it because my gyno assured me everything would be fine. I had never heard of it and had no idea what it was. She gave me a pamplet but it didn't explain things very well. Then I came home and looked it up online and I was TERRIFIED! She put me on metformin, (generic for glucofage...I think I spelled that right) prenatal vitamins, and something else I want to say medroproxyl...I can't remember and I don't want to get up to go look. My hubby and I want a child...me more than him I think but still. When I found out it affects your reproductive abilities I BROKE DOWN. We've been trying for a while now but nothing so far and it kills me every time I see a negative test.
Does anyone on here have any advice as to how to get pregnant without fertility drugs? I have been having regular cycles since I started the metformin. But every time I take an ovulation test it says I'm ovulating. There is NO way I'm ovulating every week.

does anyone else feel uncomfortable burping your child on their bare back? I feel as if I am hitting her rather than burping her. I will either put a recieving blanket around her back and then burp, or i will seriously put clothes on her just to burp her (we live in Arizona, it is very hot so she is often in only a diaper when inside...). Am I the only crazy one?

I have been using provera for 3 days. The reason why my doctor gave me Provera was because I haven't had my period for 3 months. She wanted to induce my menstral cycle. I have PCOS, I had unprotected sex twice on my 3rd day of Provera. Is there a possiblity of me getting pregnant? Thanks.
.....
I missed taking my provera pills... will this be a problem? Would missing the provera make me pregnant? Help! Thanks.

A woman accidentally overdosed her 3 year old baby on cold medicine. When she realized what she did she placed the body in a garbage bag and threw it out in a trash bin. I understand that tragic things happen parents make mistakes, but how can you throw a baby out in a garbage can? I might understand if this was a newborn and she was postpartum depressed or had not yet bonded with the child. But this is a 3 year old that had already said a dozen times “mommy I love you” and cried in her shoulder when he was upset. If anyone can explain to me how a mother can throw out a body of a child, of her child, into a garbage can like it was trash I would be grateful.

I have a 16 month old daughter and I have a terrible time leaving her with someone other that my husband, my mother, or my brother. I am terrified that something will happen to her. But my biggest fear is that someone will touch her inappropriately, not family members, but daycare providers and other babysitters...

Anyone else have these feelings?

I do get out often to do stuff by myself, but not too often with my husband... our relationship is wonderful.

Any advice on how to overcome this?!
