i believe it is 12 or 20 weeks unless there is a medical reason which can be something totally minor that wont even affect the baby's quality of life.

It varies from state to state, Examples are... 14 states have NO limits(you can get an abortion on your due date). 36 states have limits(28 of the 36 with limits have exemptions to the limits for the health of the mother including "metal health". 4 of the 36 only have exemptions to the limits for the life or phisical health of the mother and 4 of the 36 only have exemptions to limits for the life of the mother)of the 36 with limits ...5 states prohibit abortions in the 3rd trimester(26 weeks), 8 states prohibit abortions after 24 weeks and the other 23 states have varying limits.
THE SUPREME COURT ON ABORTION AND THE PREGNANT WOMAN'S 'HEALTH'
1971
"Webster's Dictionary, in accord with...common usage, properly defines health as 'the state of being sound in body or mind.' Viewed in this light, the term 'health' presents no problem of vagueness. Indeed, whether a particular operation is necessary for a patient's physical or mental health is a judgment that physicians are obviously called upon to make routinely whenever surgery is considered." (United States v. Vuitch)

Actually the "governmental" limit is at 22 weeks...it IS against the law to perform abortions bast the 22nd week...the reason being that at 24 weeks of gestation a fetus CAN be viable and if it is alive when expelled from the womb it HAS to be given life support because if not all those involved CAN be charged with murder, yes I said MURDER because the fetus being OUTSIDE the womb would be a BORN human and if a BORN human is not given life saving treatment or suffers a fatal injury that is murder...Connor Peterson was the Presidence that set that law into motion...Connor was the son of Laci and Scott Peterson and it was determined that he was Indeed BORN (expelled from his mother's womb) and alive when he drown.

you can not get an abortion without ending the life of the baby, i myself am adopted and so grateful, had my young unmarried parents made a different choice, i could have parished under the abortionist's knife, now i'm alive and well, please help your baby to be alive and well!
