My 7 month old has a horrible diaper rash. The doc had us try lotrimin and cortizone. We also tried different diaper rash ointments and switched from Pampers to Huggies. Nothing is working. It's bright red and itches her. Any suggestions?

my 2nd baby was 8lbs 11oz and as of right now they think this baby is going to be a bigger baby again. i really don't want another big baby, and since my son came out looking up(biggest part of his head comes first) and i do my labors all natural no pain meds. would you ask to be induced early if the docs are saying the baby is going to be big? pros and cons?

Im due on 6/13 and have Gestational Diabetes...I have to take one shot of insulin every morning. The diet the dietian put me on is horrible...example
**Bfast; half a bagel/tbsp of cream cheese (plain) 3 pieces of canadian bacon/possible glass of milk (depending on sugar level before bf.) WTF!! Seriously!! I cheat terriblly because an hour later Im hungry again!
Snack: 6 animal crackers/tbsp peanut butter. Who eats like this?
Anyway I still check my sugar levels and depending on if I follow the diet to a T its fine but then at night, I eat xtra before I go to bed. When I eat more portions my sugar levels are higher, sometimes. So now my doctor keeps saying if I dont control it, my baby will have to stay behind with an IV...what were your personal experiences? During and after birth!

Hi just another query about this kit. I am now on day 4 of using this (have used 4 test sticks so far), and on day 14 of my cycle. Now my periods are 100% regular and luckly always have been. I do have the text book 28 day cycle, so i thought I would have ovulated today yet the ovulation kit has not yet detected my LH surge. This is the 1st time in using this ov kit so i am a little unsure what to expect from it any advice would be appreciated.

I have a 9 day old and I am breastfeeding exclusively. He seems to eat constantly during the day. But only recently, (yesterday and today). He sleeps during the night somewhat, I feed him every two hours at night. But during the day it seems to never stop. I try to see if he has a wet diaper before putting him back on but he reaches with his mouth and puts his hands inhis mouth and roots for my breast. I nurse him for about an hour or more per breast it seems. i broke down and pumped, I managed to get about 2oz in 15 minutes (from both breasts). He drank one oz and is sleeping now. how can I get him to eat more and nurse less. he hasn't been causing me pain (the manual pump did that) can I expect more milk or is two oz pumped in 15 minutes good or not? He has a little mouth so getting a good latch is a challege.
he puts out several wet diapers during the day but his stools are small, about 1-2 tbs.
i really do not want to supplement with formula.

My husband and I are trying to have a baby. We're married, own a house, and are actively TRYING to get pregnant. About 2 weeks ago my husband's brother called to let us know his 16 year old girlfriend is pregnant! He is 23, she's 16, a junior in highschool. Neither of them can take care of themselves. (I know this, because he lived with my husband and I for almost a month.) I am SO jealous! They don't need a child! We want this more than anything! And it happens for them and they didn't even want it! My husband asked his brother if he was excited and all he could say was, "yeah, I guess". How sad is that? I feel sorry for this child, already. The girlfriend is on drugs too. This baby isn't going to have a chance! We were supposed to have the first grandchild! Should I feel bad for being so jealous? I don't, but shoud I? I hate them both. I'm so angry! I was almost in tears when my husband told me they were having a baby.

well on april 12th i started my period, it was done by the 15th, k then i started my period may 8th and ended on the 12th, i had sex the 18th,19th,21st,and the 25th unprotected(not a mistake lol) today is the 9th and i still havent started my period, should i wait till the 12th, and when should i take a pregnancy test? and what r the chances of me being pregnant? im just nervous lol im srry, but if u can help ill appreciate it, thank you

I have a 5 year old step daughter who sleeps with her mother in her mothers bed at her home. On the weekend she has her own room here and can not share the bed with us. We have done everything she has wanted with her room down to giving her a flash light to use in her room and putting her room right next to ours. I dont know what else to do. She screams and crys and throws fits to the point she makes herself sick. We are looking at getting her full time and need to get this resolved.

Even though Mommy, (daughter's name), and baby are very tired, we are excited to see and have you spend time with our family. Please call before you come, though, so you can see us awake and at our best.


Would they question why my daughter is tired? I don't want to start making expalinations... but she will be excited and need extra rest, plus she will be nearby for the birth as we are doing this at home. I need to add a note like this as my family is very pushy and rude (with the nicest possible 'face' on) and does not respect me or my parenting. So I want them to come by 'appointment' so I can space them out and make this a happy time where I dont' have them all back to back. I want to re-cuperate after each visit and try to enjoy this moment with them if possible. Is that worded ok? I want to include that my daughter is tired too or else they will want to come and help and watch her.. the point is to get them to back off without sounding like it.

moms, i would like to start a debate right here (tada) in this question about diapers. just a few facts, did you know that disposiable diapers are not ment to hold the poop in the trash, you are suppose to shake it off in the toilet jsut like a cloth diaper; reason; because the poop ends up in our land fills and poultes the ground with human pathogens and increasing the risk of the spread of disease. also, it take 500 years for a disposible diaper to biodegrate and 18-23 billion are thrown away each year. in time for the first years of diapers to biodegrate, 8,500,000,000,000-11,000,000,000,000 will be degrating still. we all know that diapers wernt around for 500 years and that they wont be for much longer, but could you imagine???
please just post opnions, not hate.
as for me, i use old fashioned cloth diapers and covers. they work just fine for us. i use chemical free detergent adn viniger to wash, it only takes 20 minutes to dry them and about 60 to wash them. i only wash one...

i'm 14 going on 15 and everything seems so different. People are changing, and my world is just spinning. IMO, 14-15 is the toughest age to be a teen cause everything is changing and people are beginnig to mature (sometimes a bit too fast) what do you think is the hardest age to be a teen?

and he is only 4 1/2 years old
he eat cookies from the jar all day long and whenever he asks for some sugar-type of bread, my sister says NO then he asks again and begs for about 30seconds and she gives in and gives it to him with a big glass of cow's milk.
he eats sugary cereal and food
he isnt obese or that much over-weight but that's not even the reason, the point is that this can't be healthy for him at all
I'm his aunt and i care for him, even though im only 14 I'm somewhat of a health freak and in the process of being 100% vegetarian.
i need some help of convincing my sister this is so bad for him
when i see her give in to him i tell her "gosh your gonna make him fat." your feeding him to a heart attack" "thats disgusting, give him an apple instead" "he already had 10 chocolate chip cookies, hes gonna get sick.."
but NO she doesn't seem to care.

help.
i want to make him healthier.
i know it's not my job to RAISE him but i want him to be healthy
