My husband and I are trying to have a baby. We're married, own a house, and are actively TRYING to get pregnant. About 2 weeks ago my husband's brother called to let us know his 16 year old girlfriend is pregnant! He is 23, she's 16, a junior in highschool. Neither of them can take care of themselves. (I know this, because he lived with my husband and I for almost a month.) I am SO jealous! They don't need a child! We want this more than anything! And it happens for them and they didn't even want it! My husband asked his brother if he was excited and all he could say was, "yeah, I guess". How sad is that? I feel sorry for this child, already. The girlfriend is on drugs too. This baby isn't going to have a chance! We were supposed to have the first grandchild! Should I feel bad for being so jealous? I don't, but shoud I? I hate them both. I'm so angry! I was almost in tears when my husband told me they were having a baby.

These are natural feelings to have when you see someone taking for granted what you so much desire. Don't feel guilty about it, but don't let it eat you alive. Maybe this is God's way of blessing you in a different way. Do you think maybe if they didn't want or weren't planning the baby perhaps you could adopt their baby? I don't know the red tape involved but you might look into.

Another benefit of this is often when couples adopt the pressure to get pregnant is off them they find themselves becoming pregnant themselves. Just a thought to offer a different view and maybe a little hope!

Anyways, try to enjoy the process of baby making more and see if this takes a little of the stress off you guys. Stay positive and I will be keeping you in my thought that you may soon get your true desire to have a baby!

Every body's destiny is designed by god. If you believe in god and destiny, be patient. If you were to be a mother, you will be at a proper time. There are lots of doctors who can help you. Don't be jealous on somebody because she is pregnant. How would you feel if somebody is jealous at you because you have a loving husband and a house that you can call your own?

I understand. It's always so sad to see people who would be great parents trying so hard to have a baby, and then see girls getting pregnant by accident and not wanting the baby. It seems so unfair. I know there's a plan for all of us, but it's hard not to be bitter about it at times. Good luck to you.

Omg that is so sad. I would also get jealous and feel sorry 4 the baby. But one thing i know is that you are going to be a much better mother. ^_^

someone suggested adopting the child, maybe but your 1st concern should be to try to get the girl off drugs for the babys sake
