Different brands of prenatal vitamins have different compositions. I had the same problem until I switched brands. Ask your doctor if he or she could recommend a different brand or another way to get the most important vitamins.

Contrary to popular belief - prenatal vitamins are not all that important. What I would suggest is taking just a folic acid supplement (1 mg should do the trick), and making sure that you are eating a healthy, well balanced diet rich in fruit and veggies and whole grains.
I only took prenatals with my first until I was 12 weeks pregnant, and I got so tired of throwing them right back up (literally).
I then switched to the Vita Bears (they are like gummy bears, but full of vitamins).
With my later pregnancies, I only took the folic acid before and throughout.
I wish you all the best!

I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant with #4 and I only took them for about a month and only with my first one. They made me sooooo sick. My kids were all between 8 and 9 pounds and healthy as can be. The vitamins are very important, though and I should have taken them the whole time with all ofmy pregnancies. Talk to your doctor totry and find another vitamin that won't make you so sick.

Prenatal vitamins are very important to your growing child. If you can not take them at all make sure you are taking folic acid everyday. You could also try taking your prenatal pill at bedtime or half in the morning and the other half at night. Children's vitamins are better than none. I would also tell your doctor. Good luck.

The OTC ones are in basic terms as solid because of the fact the prescribed ones. The OTC ones have each of the supplementations which you and toddler desire. The prescribed ones in many situations have somewhat extra supplementations in them. So the two way your solid. i'm getting the single an afternoon prenatal supplementations, $13 for a month furnish. I agree with Cindy T.
The prenatal vitamins made me gag and nausea. I took them only til the 4th month with my son, he turned out just fine.
With my daughter, I took an iron tablet and ate a good healthy meal.

they are extremely important to the health of your baby. i couldn't take them with my first child. he was born at only 4 1/2 pounds and had to stay 4 weeks in the hospital. had to be n/g fed and couldn't suck well. please take the vitamins. try taking them at night. maybe that will help.
