I went to my Doctor on Tuesday to have my pregnancy confirmed. I am 6 weeks pregnant and have been given folic acid to take but a friend told me that it doesnt work or make any difference to helping the baby growing. Is this true?

he used to be very well behaved, model baby.slepped thru the night, used to eat well,play with his toys.all of a sudden he is changing, he demands more and more from me, crying after me"mamamama" a lot of the time, he is starting to be very fussy with his food.and seems to cry more then usual.he has started waking up at night.In between his nagging he still is the friendly cute boy that he is.
otherwise he is a perfectly healthy and well developed baby who has reached all his milestones.
We havnt changed his routine, neither have there been any changes in his day to day life.
i wanted to know is it just a phase that he is going thru, he could be teething,or is starting with his terrible 2's...LOL.is there something i can do.i have a 7.5 year old daughter who wasn't like this.i know one cant compare kids.
any advise will be greatly appreciated.

i am trying to give my daughter only food that is good for her (she is five months) and all my in-laws keep trying to give her chocolate which as far as i know has no nutritional value but is it actually bad for her

How long do fathers get paternity leave for? How many weeks before birth and how many weeks after birth are they allowed?

My 20 month old daughter often takes her diaper off at all times of the day. Even with clothes on she manages to take them off. My son never did that so I don't know how to keep her from taking it off and at times peeing on the floor. I'm starting to potty train her, but it's taking time, and she doesn't quite get it yet. Is there anything I can do so she wont take them off??

My friend has a little boy named Caden, and she just found out she's having another boy... she really wants him to have a 'C' name also, but she is having trouble thinking of any that she likes... any suggestions? BTW, here are some of the names she has already given a "thumbs down" to (although I personally like these): Corbin, Colton, Colby, Cole, Carson, Cameron... some of these she said she might have actually considered, but she feels they are becoming too common or worries they are starting to be used more for girls than for boys (like Cameron)... so please keep this in mind when answering... My last period was on May 5th. I always have a 30 day cycle with 5 days of heavy bleeding and 2 days of light bleeding. This month, my period arrived 2 days late. It was heavy bleeding for 2 days with cramping and then on day 3 it turned to light bleeding with no cramping. Day 4 all I had was pale pinkish red spotting. My period had already stopped by Day 5. This morning(cd 8) I noticed light pink spotting. It's only a tiny bit and only noticeable on the toilet paper when I wiped. I am sexually active and trying to conceive. I did have sex on day 3 and day 4 of my cycle. Could that have had anything to do with the weird period? Is it possible that I could be pregnant and that the bleeding this month was just implantation bleeding? I'm used to having very heavy and painful periods so this was unusual for me.

If I ever have a boy so far I have 4 names and for my daughter I have 4 names but technically its only 3 because two of the names are hyphened as one name. Do you think it's a bad idea to have more than one middle name for a child??

it started yesterday, he woke up around 11am and cried for 5min and then he threw up semi thick yellow vomit, he hadnt eaten since he went to sleep the night before, but the wierd part is that he seems fine, had he not thrown up i wouldnt have known something was wrong, he happy and being himself completely, after he vomited he was okay, but i still called his ped immediately, she told me to get pedia. and for him not to eat for up to 24hrs, so we got the pedia. he loved it but threw it up, so we tried gatorade which stayed down since, except for 15min ago, but he did drink alot so his stomach was hard, and about 15min after that he let out a huge b.m. which was loose but pasty and it was dark reddish brown, so is that considered blood n his stool? someone plz help, should i call the doc again, cuz he seems fine, he's laughin, playin, no fever, or stomach discomfort... i duno what exactly to look for w blood n stool, would all of the stool be red or will the stool have its own color

I am having my 3rd baby. Don't know if it is a boy or girl. We currently have 2 boys already. If we have another boy, we have decided to name it Noah, but need a middle name.

I had unprotected sex, and 5 days later she said she was pregnant after taking a test. I am not the only one she was involved with. Is it possible to get pregnant 5 days after intercourse and test positive on a OTC pregnancy test?? I have read that it takes up to 6 days for the sperm and egg to join, then 6-10 days for the egg to atttach to the wall, then release that specific chemical that the pregnancy test reads. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i believe i am almost 2 weeks and i've already cried about everything there is to cry about, and it's usually something to do with my man, like today i didn't like how he answered the phone when i called him so i bawled, then i went to get into the shower and the water pressure was low so there was bearly any water comming out the socket, i sat there and stared at the water and cried like a little baby lol

I've purchased several different toys for my boys when they were younger, but they only liked playing with something for a few minutes, and then they'd never play with it again. Instead they always loved going back to playing video games.
I dont want to make the same mistake with my daughter, I want to find something really special for her. Something she'll just love and wont get very bored with.
Any good suggestions?
