Pregnancy & Parenting - 13 June 2007

We really want a little girl, and I do believe that there's a higher power of some sort up there, and everyone's praying for a girl too. But really, as long as the baby is healthy..I will be happy no matter what it is...

But still I can't help but wonder if praying helps......do any of you have any advice like that?

I'm at sixteen weeks and I could find out now, but I don't see the doctor again until July 9th.

I was just noticing this last night when I was putting cleaning produts on the shelf at work. (I work overnight stock at Target) and I realised that most of them had no child proof caps. pine sol and mr clean among them. I dont understand it. they make the bottles and even the cleaners so colorful, and yes I do lock up my cleaners away from my children but you never know when a child may still get ahold of one of these produts, nothings foolproof. I drank amonia at age 3 and ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks, mostly because I wouldnt eat or drink, so mabey thats why this bothers me so much. what are your thoughts on the subject?

me and my bf had unprotcted sex on monday. he didnt come inside me but hes not sure if he precome or not (as they can't feel it..) so im wondering what the chances are that i could be pregnant. i don't really know much about precome but it only contains a small amount of sperm doesn't it??

im just checkin because im a couple of days late on my period and im a fairly regular person. i was 2 weeks late last month and had a bit of a pregnancy scare so i didn't want it to happen again but on monday things just led on and we hadn't seen each other for ages so....im just wondering if i could be pregnant or not or if its just something to do with the last time. i don't know whether to take a test or leave it a few days just to be sure.

i know loads of people have asked this kind of qustion but id just like to hear someone elses opinion. i have talked it over with my bf as well and we were wondering what other people thought.

I went in for my first OB appointment at 9 weeks last Monday and the doctor had trouble finding the heartbeat. She finally said she was able to see it, as did my husband, but I never saw the "flicker". She asked me to schedule another appointment, which ended up being this morning. The ultrasound showed that the baby is about 8 weeks along and has a heartbeat somewhere in the 80s, rather than in the 140+ range like it should be. She also said that the baby is not growing properly and I have a high chance of miscarrying within the next week. She made me an appointment for next week to see if the heart is still beating. She said if I do miscarry, I may or may not have bleeding and cramping. If I do miscarry without bleeding, would that be cause for a D&C? I just wanted to know if anyone has ever dealt with something similar to this. I took it really hard this morning, but I don't know what to expect or how to feel. Thanks....

I have a desk job, a receptionist job, so therefore I sit and relax all day. I get up and move frequently to stretch and walk around, so I have it pretty easy.

I've been having braxton hicks like crazy, but those don't hurt. This morning I've noticed more painful movements in my stomach. Almost bringing me to tears. It only last maybe.. 10 seconds then quit. It's happened twice now about an hour apart. I'm not going to "run to the hospital" because I have no other symptoms. My back's been aching a lot, I've been going to the bathroom A LOT more(due to baby moving downward), tons of fetal movement.. ugh..

Someone who has had a baby before or knows a lot, tell me more on what to expect going into labor. This is my first and I'm afraid I won't know when I'm going! haha =)

About 3 weeks ago, I had a hsg done and a week later I took a ovulation test on sunday a it came back positive. So my husband and I did the baby dance the day before, the day of, and the day after. Now over two weeks later, my period hasnt come yet. It was suppose to start sunday but now its wednesday and still no period. I took a hpt and I think it was negative (it was kind of blurry and i think my eyes were playing tricks on me). Whats wrong with me? Did anyone experience this? Could I be pregnant? Im pretty regular with my cycles and im only 20 and in decent health. I really dont know what to think. Im not schedule for a blood next until next tuesday, so I would really like to hear some opnions until then. Thanks so much...

I am 11 weeks and I am so emotional today and I don’t know how to snap out of it. I am feeling very overwhelmed and very depressed, like I can’t seem to do anything right! I keep asking myself, if I am this messed up now…what’s gonna happen when the baby comes? I am so financially strapped that it’s causing me to almost have a melt down. I have 5 girls. #4, Justine, will be 16 in Jan and has started to ask about having a Sweet 16. My older three never had any interest in having one. We did something big when they turned 18 instead. I find Sweet 16s kind of pointless. How do you feel about them?

I am 16 weeks pregnant, and thin. Well, I was thin, I got quite the hard lil belly showing now, but I felt this flutter in my lower abdomin. It was like...I dunno, maybe a gas bubble, but I had no gas. Sorry maybe too much info. My mother felt us at 14 weeks, I am just curious, could this be the baby? It happened two days ago, and then not again since. I think maybe it`s too early to feel with the first? I was laying down when I felt it.

I know soon I`ll be able to feel it and know for sure what it was, I am just curious.

I think kids are out of control these days (not all) and I dont want my children being that way, I am pretty strickt but I would like to know from other parents if I am too strickt. When my kids come home from school, they must do homework, then they have outside chores that need to be done, then they come in for showers and have their dinner after dinner they help clean up like bring dishes in sweep and wipe the table off. Then they have some play time wether it be playing bored games or watching alittle TV, then I have them do some excersises (which they enjoy) and after that they both read for about 45 minutes then its bed time. On weekends they have chores and they love to play outside and they are allowed to play video games only on the weekends. I dont want to raise spoiled disrespectful children, I want to raise good hard working reepectful young men and Im wondering if what Im doing is right or If Im being to hard?

and just to drink plenty of water and they put me on light duty at work and lots of rest and they said not to put anything in my vagina till i go back for my next prenatal check in july. But I'm still spotting brown and I am still worried. Am I just over reacting because this is my first baby?

Should I take it now or should I wait? My last period was April 28 and I have been having unprotected sex since then. I've been feeling weird, breast sore, some heartburn at times, backache, very tired in the afternoons, really hungry, cranky and sometimes not hungry at all. My period is due on June 24. I'm anxious to know if I'm pregnant. Could I be? Should I take the HPT now or should I wait?
