I have a desk job, a receptionist job, so therefore I sit and relax all day. I get up and move frequently to stretch and walk around, so I have it pretty easy.

I've been having braxton hicks like crazy, but those don't hurt. This morning I've noticed more painful movements in my stomach. Almost bringing me to tears. It only last maybe.. 10 seconds then quit. It's happened twice now about an hour apart. I'm not going to "run to the hospital" because I have no other symptoms. My back's been aching a lot, I've been going to the bathroom A LOT more(due to baby moving downward), tons of fetal movement.. ugh..

Someone who has had a baby before or knows a lot, tell me more on what to expect going into labor. This is my first and I'm afraid I won't know when I'm going! haha =)

I would monitor it, and keep timing them. If they are real, you will have them regular and then they will get closer together and last longer. How to tell the difference in Braxton Hicks and real contractions - if you get up and move positions and they go away - they are false, if they don't then they are real.
Don't worry until they get about 15 min. apart regular, and don't go away when you move around.
Call your Dr. just to let him know - he may want you to come in so he can see if you have dilated at all.
Good luck!

Sounds like you're in early labor, and I'm not gonna lie, labor hurts like hell. The good news is through modern medicine, there are ways the hospital can make things much more comfortable for you, although when it's time to push, you will still feel it. Just make sure you let your nurses know that you want pain medication before it's too late. I just gave birth to my 6th child 7 weeks ago, and I did her natural, no drugs of any kind, I thought I was going to die, but after I saw my baby, it was all worth the pain. You'll see. Good luck, and Congratulations!!

Labor will be a tightening feeling that comes and stays tightened and then loosens up. If those are coming every 2-3 minutes apart and they hurt badly then u might be in real labor. Or the baby could be pushing on something and causing u to be in pain.
Believe me you will know when u are in labor. It will be the worst pain in your life, it hurts too much to cry.
Either way, at 35 weeks most women are just miserable no matter what. Good Luck and congrats!

Those are also Braxton Hicks Contractions. The farther along you get they will be more and more like the real thing, it is all apart of preparing your body for labor. Trust me you don't think your gonna know when it is time, but you WILL. It is all apart of being a woman. But if that doesn't help then, you will know it's for real when the contractions increase steadily and get longer and stronger each time. Then when they are about 5 minutes apart and steady you need to call the doc and get ready to be a mommy soon!!! Yeah!!

sounds like baby has dropped into position and is getting ready. it's normal to be scared even if it's not your first. i'm sure you've started weekly visits with your doc so if it's something you can handle, talk about it at your next appt or give him/her a call. you could even call l&d at your hospital. the nurses there are wonderful. i think they know more than the doc's sometimes. going into labor is different for everone but, the best thing to remember is,when in doubt, take a ride to the hospital. they are better eqipped to answer your q's. good luck and congrats.

It doesn't sound like labor, but you should call the doc and see if they want to check you out. When you call be very specific about how the pain feels. If there is something going on, you don't want it to be dismissed as nothing. If it's nothing, the doc may have some suggestions for how to relive the pain (stretches, exercises, etc)

honey i had pains walked myself silly especially to bathroom. most of my labor pains were back pains. i handle pain well, and just kept breathin thru pain until i thought it was crazy for me to get comfortable for 5 sec. and have to go walk some more. when i went in i wsa dialated to a 7. doc. was at the lake, i started pushin, as he was comin in the door she was comin out. had her natural. keep up the walkin when you cant stand the pain get checked by your obgyn or go to the hospital. otherwise you will just be laying in the hospital till time for baby. that would be misery good luck

It sounds like you may be dehydrated. Try drinking alot of water and then if the pain continues you should really call your ob. I had this happen about 32 weeks along and I ran to the hospital, all they did was give me juice and have me drink water and that did the trick. Again, if the pain continues, please call your doc.

You could be having back labor. I would suggest you at least call your doctor and tell them your symptoms. Better safe than sorry.
