Yes, praying always helps. Atleast it helps your soul to be hopeful and at peace of mind. Whatever God gives you, accept it and believe that is the better for your future and life.

RE:
Does praying help?
We really want a little girl, and I do believe that there's a higher power of some sort up there, and everyone's praying for a girl too. But really, as long as the baby is healthy..I will be happy no matter what it is...
But still I can't help but wonder if praying helps......do any...

no matter what the situation is, praying always helps
but if you pray and things still dont work out the way you want them to, you have to remember that everything happens for a reason. God already has a plan for us and has a reason for the way things in our life go. It might not be the thing that you wanted, but whatever you get is because that is the way God chose it for you. So pray that your baby is happy and God will take care of the rest. Good luck and congratulations!

sure in my opinion praying always helps, but i'm not sure if that is what you should be praying for. It's not like blowing out candles on a birthday cake and making a wish. I myself just pray for a healthy baby regardless of the sex. good luck to you though i hope you get a little girl!

I believe that prayer in most situations is the only form of help that should be sought. Prayer will help to ensure that you have a healthy baby and a healthy labor, but I dont think prayer will help you get the sex you wish for. Hopefully you will get a girl, as I do want one too!, but if God sends you a boy, know that there was a reason and its all a blessing!

i am a 49 year old female who has had a lot of bad things happen to me. i lost a son to a tragic accidnet. i have seen God's hand throughout all of my trials. i believe with all my heart that you will have exactly what God wants you to have.whether it is a boy or a girl you need to pray for a healthy baby, and yes prayer does work, sometimes not the answer you want, but the way it is suppose to be. i strongly believe that everything happens just exactly the way it is suppose to. if you have a healthy baby it is truly a gift from God.

Well, I do say praying to the Lord really does help everything. But, God works in mysterious ways so you just be happy with what you get and God has a plan for you and your new baby.

Whoa, Have you ever heard of "Be still and know that I am God. Ps. 46:10. Jesus will return when it is time. There is nothing man can do to speed it up. There is work to be done, like getting the gospel out to the world and that is happening.Sorry to disagree with you, read the book of Revelation when Jesus returns, not the rapture, but to judge the world this world will be changed. As awful as it is to hear about child abuse and all the other terrible things in this world we must understand that this is the fallen condition we live in. It is our responsibility to help those in pain, not blame God. Save your breathe and stop yelling at God for the rotten world we live in, go help someone less fortunate and ask God to help you.

I really wanted a girl, I had a boy. We don't always get what we want..... and that's life. I love my son, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I hope I have a girl next time so she can have an older brother to protect her and look out for her. Praying doesn't help. God, doesn't grant wishes.
