My baby is 8wks old today and is still feeding every 3hrs sometimes every 2. Is this ok? She NEVER cries for a bottle just becomes unsettled and moves her head from side to side so i make her a bottle. I have been advised by some to let her cry for her bottle Do you think i should start doing this? Last night she went to bed at 9 until 5am and when she woke she wasn't crying just wriggling about and making murmurring noises (its at this point i would give her a bottle) she always drinks the bottle, sometimes 3oz's sometimes 5...

This may be a dumb questions , but I just started my daughter on solids , just fruit for now. I have been giving it to her following her first bottle and her second to last at night. She seems to be hungry all the time , should I be giving her the fruits at a seperate time from the bottle? Like in between bottles or am I doing it right?

Hi I am now about 9 week pregnant .... at first I was fine ... but this last couple of days I have just been feeling noscious all the time, i dont necessaraly vomit but still I have that horrible feeling. The kitchen is off limit for me. I mean it's horrible I can't go near food. especially, spices, chiken, fish and dairies. What shall I do. I just wanna lie in bed but I obvioulsy have to go work. This all thing it's putting me off being pregnant.Some remedies please!!!

Now I want to know - if I correct my grandsons for using that sort of language should my daughter-in-law complain about that or not?

before you all say it "ask a doctor" well we have been to a doctor... 2 health visitors.... 2 nurses... a friend who is a nurse and an osteopath. Baby has a swelling like half an egg n her head but it is more wobbly like jelly and you can push it along. The doctor says it is from when she was born... basically that the original swelling solidified so it had apperared to go away... then it starts to break down to be reabsorbed into the body. Thing is none of the others have ever seen anything like it... she is now 9 weeks old, it has only just come back ( she was swollen babdly due to being stuck at delivery) acting normally... feeding well... all smiles... no discomfort or redness. anyone lived through this and how long will it take to reabsorb?

I'm 37.6 weeks....I don't usually ever feel anything an night while I'm trying to sleep. Stomach keeps getting tight and then relaxes....like contractions...kind of irregular at this point...but they've been waking me up every hour. I like sleeping on my right side usually and tonight I am so uncomfortable the only way I can sleep is on the left even so I have heartburn and indigestion real bad and kind of gassy (maybe that's too much information) but could this be the start of labor?

Im 7 Months pregnant tomorrow. Its getting to that point now im really scared about the labour as ive started to have braxton hicks contractions. Im thinking of having the epidural what pain relief do you suggest and what was best for you.

so I do here.
First of all those who complain I "repeat" - well I post in "parenting","gradeschool" etc. because I have grandsons 8,7 and 3.
To the subject - I *don't* believe in this "mouthsoaping" for hygeine and health reasons
and the "punishment to fit the crime" for me is rather a good smacked bottom.For me obscene language *is* violence and should be paid for in kind - and deterred.
Those younger people who eschew profane laguage - well done!
I will challenge teenagers if they are swearing on the street especially if I have my grandsons with me.
I only hope that others may do the same and stop this cycle of *violent* language before it becomes acceptable - is actual violence to be "just the modern way of "kids""? - not in my book it isn't!

This is my 5th child and my husband and I are having difficulties deciding on a name. We both kinda like Grayson Rae but my youngest boy is Garett and my husband is Gerrad(pronounce as Jarod) and Im thinking that is just 2 many G's for a mother 2 have 2 go thru before making sure Im yelling at the right one. hahahaha. Well my parents thought I was staying up too late doing my homework. So in an effort to make me finish it faster, I must stay in my school uniform until I am done with all my homework, including studying for tests, and this goes for the weekend. I have to also keep my shirt tucked in and other school uniform rules. But that's the only rule. I'm free to go out with my friends or do whatever. But I'm starting to think this is unfair. First off, my mom goes as far as locking my closet until everything is done. Secondly, this includes projects. So if I have a paper due in two weeks, I have to keep my uniform on until I complete the paper. Lastly, my mom makes me study a minimum of 30 minutes for tests coming up within the week, and 1 hour for tests the next day (or even the following Monday). Therefore, I am stuck in my uniform usually all night Friday to study and finish all weekend homework, and sometimes all weekend if I have a big project not due for a while. Is this fair?

She is trying to go forwards to get toys and food but just goes backwards. I can tell it is frustrating her as she just starts to whinge and cry. I go behind her and push her forwards by her feet. This is fine when I'm there but how can I get her to learn on her own to go forwards? This wouldn't bother me if it didn't bother her, I can tell she's really trying and just cant do it.

What is it that makes them go backwards? are her legs not as strong as her arms or something?

By the way she's 8.5 months
