Almost all babies start off going backwards. It's just easier, and not as hard to keep balance. It won't be long until she figures out the forward motion, and it seems like you're doing plenty to help her. Keep leaving her toys just out of reach, and then helping her when she gets too frustrated, and she'll have it figured out in no time.
And just wait- when she starts trying to ride little bikes and things, she'll do the same thing. Go backwards first. My son is 16 months, and he's been trying to ride his little bike (Not one with pedals, one where he sits on it and walks to get it to roll), and he can only go backwards.

crawling isn't even listed on standard charts of youngsters' progression as a results of fact it is not a developmental point all young infants bypass with the aid of. some young infants in no way flow slowly. some bypass without delay to strolling, some scoot on their bottoms or tummies, some flow slowly backwards like yours. it is not suitable. the stable information is that he's propelling himself, and commencing off to attempt to hold directly to issues for status. do no longer complication approximately it -- in simple terms take quite some video so which you would be able to have fun with it later. in some months crawling in any direction would be a piece of the previous besides, since he would be strolling and working everywhere!

mostly all baby's learning how to crawl start off by going backwards first, I'm not sure why they just do. don't stress about it and don't try to force her to go forward, give it a couple of weeks and she'll get the hang of going forward. this is one of a baby's milestones they have to learn to do it themselves

Dont worry about it mom; she's doing what babies normally do; all 3 of my boys did that too...she'll go forward in her own time; just keep placing toys in front of her to encourage her to move forward;

What I did with my daughter was put her favorite toys out of reach to encourage her to go forward. It's funny how some kids learn, my nephew never crawled he scooted around on his butt. Just keep working with her, she will get it when she is ready.

All babies go backwards before they go forward, it's easier for them. She will work it out for herself.

my boys went backwards first too!
My youngest only commando crawled,then started walking.
They all do it in their own time.
I know she would be frustrated but keep putting toys in front of her and encourage her go forward.
I would play chasing with my boys and go behind them and overtake them so they knew to follow me.
good luck

Hehehe, that's cute! Maybe entice her forward with her favorite food, but don't give in if she cries. Honestly, it's probably not something to worry about.
