No fresh fruit and vegetables are better for your baby. I only use jars if I have run out of puree or I'm going out with my baby.

No she wouldn't be missing anything major, the baby jars are mainly there for convenience's sake. You might want to get some for when you're out and about with her though.

In fact, by not giving her the baby jars, she'll be better off as there are no preservatives, etc in fresh fruit and veg.

No she shouldn't miss out on anything important if you cook your own food and puree it. Have a look at the ingredients on the Heinz food....you will probably find that there is stuff in there that you would rather not feed her, like salt for example. Homecooked food means you will know exactly what your baby is eating.

That is great if you have the time. No fresh is better, the ones in the jars are for US lazy working parents.

Making your own is much better than jarred food. I always blend vegetable and meat and my little man loves it. I make quite a lot and then freeze some of them too

It's so much better for baby to have fresh fruits and veggies. My mom bought me that "Magic Bullet" that can make smoothies, etc and I used it to puree my son's food. I started him on fruits, then veggies, then when he was older he'd eat pretty much whatever we ate for dinner, only pureed.

if you read the ingredients in baby food you will see. i tried making my own baby but couldn't get it fine enouph for her so i went back to jar. They really do not add much extra stuff to baby food just compare diff brands and besides it is so much easier!!
