If you bneed them, the midwifes can do them at home. They are disolvable.

Ask your midwife to know for sure, but she should be able to do it for you.

I also wouldn't be really worried about it. You should be able to be active in labor and be in a good position for birth, which will decrease risk of tearing.

I have given birth 4 times and only need stitches with the third one. My 4th child was 9lbs 12oz. and just had a small tear that did not need them.

hello. please dont worry. my baby is 11 weeks so this is still quite fresh to me (unfortunately lol! )
i too had to have stitches, but the midwife who delivered my baby was able to do the stitches, and didnt need a surgeon or didnt need to leave my room, so therefore your midwife should be able to do them at home for you...if you need them, whcih hopefully you wont!

With many home births, you sometimes have to go into the hospital to get baby checked over and of course, yourself too, so they might even do it at this point.

i wish you the very best of luck and im sure it will all be fine and u wont need any sticthes anyway! fingers crossed for you x

You should talk to your midwife about this, only they can answer the question honestly. However if they can deliver your baby they should be able to do the stitches if needed.

A mid-wife should be able to do stitches-- its a pretty simple procedure- and it seems more common to need stitches than not, so they'd need to be trained. . Why not simply ask your midwife? She'd be able to tell you.

I would think you would get them at home - speak to your midwife she'll put your mind at rest. Hope it all goes well for you i have a 2 yearlod daughter and thinking of trying for another along with a home birth. My cousin had her son at home she said it was fab!

the midwife will have her kit with her to do stitches as they only need to inject local anaesthetic! Good luck

if your careful and they are careful then you shouldn't need them. but yes i think they can do stitches...but not 100% sure. some do more than others. if your not sure i would call the ones coming and just ask them to easy your mind =) hope you have a happy n healthy one =)
