Plus they can adapt a child already born that needs parent/s. And if you have two child and want more you should adopt. I think its very selfish to keep having children and not look at the impact humans are having on the environment. What do you think?

My baby is 13 days old and I am already back to work (yuck!). I have been nursing her at least 10-15 minutes on each side (20-30 min total) and then offering her formula, and she drinks 3 oz! I have been pumping and don't even get enough milk to cover the bottom of the bottle. Any advice? Do you think I'm just not producing very much milk? Any tips on pumping?

I have an appointment for the gynecologist to check for pcos, but not untill august... I was just wondering if you know the first steps that the doc does to diagnose it,. Or if there is anything I can do in the mean time to help the doc out then..
I am pretty sure I have it. I have almost all the symptoms except for being overweight..
Me and my hubby have been *trying* for years and nothing has happened. and i am only 23 and he's 25.
...neways thanks for your thoughts!!

Mine doesn't seem to. He's been getting upset with me over mood swings and things like that, and I really can't help it. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and my hormones are going all crazy... he tells me its just an excuse and now he's talking about leaving me because he'd be better off without having to "deal with all my crap." This is a HUGE amount of stress on me; not only am I pregnant, but we have a one and a half yr old and our 3 yr anniversary is only a few days away. I'm losing it.
I just want to know if it's only my situation, or if there are other women out there who feel like their husbands and boyfriends just don't get it or just don't care.

Do you guys believe in it or not??

My opinion is that you should think b4 you act. If your putting yourself at a risk of getting pregnet, and you do, you just going to have to deal with it.

In my eyes children are the best thing God can give us, besides the holy spirit.

Im serious about this.

My friends daughter when she was 16 tried to kill herself but only drank half a bottle of childrens tylenol (which we all know will not kill you) and her parents brought her to the hospital and the dr. told them she would be fine. ( she was doing it for attention obviously)

But the parents wanted to teach their daughter a lesson.
They asked the dr. to pump her stomach as a punishment.

Do you agree with their decision.

(there daughter has never tried to do it again.)

I read that when you begin to dilate you can actually bleed or spot. Is this true in all cases? And do you always have blood or tinges of blood in your mucous plug?

Okay... Baby is due in 6 weeks and I haven't worn pads since my 8yr old was born. There are so many to choose from.... Regular, super, overnight, wings, no wings.... We all know that I can not use tampons so need some help for those dreaded 6 weeks of bleeding. The ones with the wings made me break out last time. Any suggestions are appreciated.

When can you start putting stuff (blankets, toys, etc) into a crib with a sleeping baby? Is it a certain age or a developmental goal?

or do you feel thats something the natural parents should do?

I feel step-parents should stay out of it. I am not divorced but unfortunately grew up in a broken home and took alot of crap from a wacko step mother that ruined my relationship with my dad. I never want my child to go through that. I understand that you can't let kids run over you but I feel that only the natural parents deserve the right to call the shots on discipline since they created the child together. What are your thoughts?

My son is 19 months old and he goes to bed fine (usually) no bottle, no soother, and then he wakes up 1 hour later screaming, he has no ear infection and is not sick, it is just a habit he has picked up because we used to go get him. The only way he will go back to sleep is by leaving him in his bed to cry. Is anyone else going through this with their child? He sleeps all night after crying and we want him to learn to fall asleep on his own.

I have heard some say the stories are racist. I don't seethat. I think the stories tell a very true tale of life and people.

I have been with a man for years on-and-off. I have forgiven MANY of his wrong doings, one included having a baby by another woman, I am now preg. but I am really questioning whether I want it or not. This isnt my first pregnancy, but this is the first time that I have felt like this. I would love to have a baby by him, but I want to do it the right way, I dont want to end up like his other children's mothers. (he had 2 before I met him). I love him deeply but at times I feel like I would be selling my child and myself short if I had one at this point in my life. (I am younger than him and am currently in college) Please help, no sarcasim! Ive considered waiting until he gets himself together, but to be honest, that might be a long time from now!

Like, I'm respectable, honest, and trustworthy, and I make all As and Bs in school...

So, my parents wouldn't let me stay home alone until I was 16 and ride my bike around the neighborhood alone until I was 16. You should get all those opportunities once you get into 7th grade!!!

They wouldn't let me and another person go to a waterpark alone until I was 15! You should get that when you enter into 8th grade!!!

They still won't let me walk anywhere alone! I desperately wanted to get away, so I was walking around the block and my dad found me and made me get in the car.

And most people get a job in 9th or 10th grade. Well, they won't let me get a job until I move out and they still won't teach me how to drive and I don't have the money since I don't have a job to pay for it!

My parents are so crappy. I swear.

Well heres my story, i am now 38 weeks last week i was only dilated 1 cm. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and my midwife told me the options that i have. Since my baby is already 8 lbs. and im only 1 cm dilated. She told me that we can wait until next week (39 weeks) and see if i dilated any farther, and if I have then she would discuss with me when to be induced. Unfortanatly if I am still only 1 cm dilated by next week then she said the baby may end up being very close to 9 lbs. My midwife doesnt like to deliver babys 9 or 10 pounds vaginally and if im not dilated farther next week then i may have to have a c- section. I was wondering If i should take Castor Oil this weekend , so my baby is still the same size and not as big as next week. I've heard MANY things about castor oil and many womens veiws on it and their experinces. In my situation do you think its something that I should consider??? I need advice please help??

ok so yesterday was my first dr appt. and i was very excited to go because i had been having cramping and had some questions and i guess i was just expecting more. but it was like nothing. i got there they went over my insurance info, then i met with the nurse she asked me a bunch of questions, did the little wheely thing to tell me my due date, gave me a bunch of papers and magazines, gave me my prenatel vitamins and that was it. i asked her about the cramps and said oh yeah thats just stretching nothing to worry about.
they sent me to the lab for blood and made another appt for 2 weeks.
does that seem a little weird to you? or was your first appt about the same?

I was wondering who had a feeling they were going to have a girl and it indeed was a girl? They say that maternal instincts on your babys gender is right, so just wondering who thought it was going to be a boy or girl and they really were right???? I have a feeling I'm having a boy even though everyone tells me it's going to be a girl. My ultrasound is next Friday, so I am really anxious to know....
