I used the super/super long walmart brand. Without wings (wings always seem to make my panties bunch) and without dry weave (that plastic rubs me raw). I also liked the cotton natural fabrics more absorbant and cause less irritation.

Use overnight or maternity pads, without wings. You may not actually bleed for six weeks either, or your flow will get much lighter at least after three weeks so by that time you could cut down to a super or regular, maybe even panty liners at the end. I'm nearly 4 weeks post partum and not bleeding at all anymore.
I'm the same, haven't used a pad except for post partum bleeding since I was a teenager, and I'm now 31.

I'd get the biggest, longest ones available. You may also want to get some really inexpensive "granny panties" that you can just toss after the "dreaded 6 weeks of bleeding" if you're allergic to the pads with wings and don't want to stain your nice knickers. :-)
You'll probably be able to find pads that are specific for post-partum bleeding. I used Chicco brand here in Italy. They cost a lot less than sanitary napkins and come in a big quantity, don't worry, you'll use them all!

I used nightime pads with the wings and they worked great.
I know you are allergic to the wings, but have you tried different brands?
While at the hospital, take a couple of pairs of those underwear they give you for after the baby is born. I think i took 6 pairs extra home...and used those in case I leaked. They came in handy!
Good luck- and congrats on your new baby!

I would definately get some different styles. I used Always and broke out and my doctor told me that they were the brand her patients had the most trouble with. I ended up using the overnight at first because it was so heavy then I used the long then regular and lastly pantyliners. If the wings made you break out definately don't use them. I hope that helps. I had a 7 week fairly heavy period afterwards. It just recently ended.

Use the overnight or maternity pads. The hospital gives you those huge pads. Get extra of those. They may feel like wearing a diaper but that first week after the baby - they are SO nice to have around.

With both of my children (I hemorrhaged with my daughter and had 25 stitches with my son) I used Stayfree Super Maxis and the Equate version. The hospital might also give you pads with a cold compress on the inside. Make sure to ask for extras of those if you have stitches. Also if you get a spray with a painkiller in it spray it on the pad for the first couple of days. It comes out cold and you really don't want to jump then.

Are you breaking out because of rubbing from the wings? If you are sensitive to fragrance or chemicals you could try fragrance free or organic pads. After my baby I just used Kotex Maxi, and then lighter pads as the flow decreased.

the element is, you in lots of situations understand *at as quickly as away* whether a being pregnant is the effect of rape or incest (previous shaggy dog tale approximately no longer gaining awareness of it replaced into rape till the cheque bounced even though) or if elevating a newborn could modern some variety of subject. There are additionally possibilities to killing a sprint one submit-beginning. If it replaced into workable to transplant a foetus, i'm particular many women people could p.c. to donate extremely than abort; it is not as though there could be any scarcity of prepared recipients, after all (we can thoroughly assume any professional-lifer who isn't a entire raging hypocrite could willingly settle for a foetal transplant extremely than enable it to be aborted).
