You don't ovulate on the Depo shot. That's why it's called birth control.
If you are talking about what happens when you get the shot after you are already pregnant... your ob-gyn will test you before you get the shot. ... mostly because you will harm the baby drastically if you get the shot while you are preggo.

I know one person who this happened to and her daughter is now a teenager and she's perfectly healthy. She was told at the time to get an abortion because the baby would have defects but she didn't listen There are severe birth defetcs linked with the use though, so it's advised to be off it for awhile before trying.
