Yes there is a Pregancy Disability in California, and yes, alot of women do take it, it is something we pay into so why the hell not take it?? i already paid for it. It is for 6 weeks, not the rest of your life...you cant work for those 6 weeks, and your doctor writes you a note stating so. I am not some loser who is collecting money rather then working or anything like that.

Gotta love Kaiser to begin with right?? lol Oh and congratulations! Your life begins now!! But it will take a while to receive your money. I think that I didnt receive my check for like 10 weeks or so after I had my son...maybe a little longer. You will receive your checks bi-weekly. I think that they have set dates that they mail them out. I had my son almost 2 years ago so I am trying to go off memory. Try checking on the EDD website...they may have direct answers for you.

I find it hard to believe that you were qualified for disability and can't figure out when you will be getting it.
Read the information they gave you or look for it online.
How many of us do you actually think are from CA and would know this?
Come on.

Wow, we don't get anything like that in MA. You get 6 weeks partial from your employer and are allowed to take up to 12 weeks unpaid.

Your'e kidding right? LOL Never heard of that. God almighty don't let that come to Texas! We have too many women here now that make having babies an occupation.
