Put her to bed!!!!! Put in a movie and she will fall right to sleep. Her mom or dad might be a little upset to find that she stayed up so late considering kids that age don't usually sleep in too much, they tend to get up around the same time everyday. If my neice or nephew or anyone let my 7 year old daughter stay up that late, they wouldn't be watching her overnight for a while and they would get an earful from me. Put her to bed.

My 6 year olds had a bedtime of 8pm. I think she's sleepy. Tell her it's time to go to the bathroom and brush her teeth. After that help her find a cozy stuffed animal that will enjoy cuddling with her at nap time. Then pick out a bed time book together and tuck her for a goodnights rest in a quite spot with cozy blankets and pillows. If she doesn't have a bed make a cozy fort for her of many soft blankets and pillows to nap in till mom and dad get home. Sweet Dreams!

Why do you insist on keeping these kids (look at her previous question) up? So it's summer, big deal. I can see letting them stay up an hour past their bedtime, but anything beyond that should be child abuse/neglect. Children need to have a sleep schedule. They need to sleep at least 8 hours a night. Read a story, then tuck them into bed.

Read to her for 15-20 minutes, then leave her alone to go to sleep. As tempting as it is, try not to turn on the tv. Trust me, I know there's huge arguments back and forth on this, and I'm not getting involved in the TV vs no TV debate, I just know that my 7 year old will pin his eyeballs open if he has to if he's watching something he enjoys. And at 6/7 they'll try to convince you they enjoy EVERYTHING~

Send her to bed, it's late for a six year old. Start a movie and she'll be out before the end of opening credits.

Tuck her into bed and read her a story, if she's too restless for that then put on a DVD she'd probably be asleep 15 mins into the movie.

maybe u can try this depending on this you can turn it into a good thing. Make her read at night, if she likes it then you gave her a good habit that later on can be used in school. and the other is you can bored her more which later makes her sleep instead of reading.
