Awwwww, she'll get it.
I used the movie.....ummmmm, Heck, it sings "Yes, I'm going to my potty , potty , now"
One of mine WOULD NOT use to pot to poo in. So I got him his own potty(little). that worked.
Since it is summer, let that child run around the back yard in her undies and long t-shirt. She'll feel it run down her legs and know that's 'pee pee'. Clean her up and tell her to try to make it to the potty next time.Get ready to do it again and again, too! Make sure your washing machine is in good working order.
Some lil ones have a hard time making that connection with the 'urge' and 'time to go sit'. Especially with the pull-ups that pull the wetness away from them like a diaper does.
She'll get it. Don't worry. And when she does, can she have an M&M mommy?
Just wanted to say that 'Bob' is an idiot. How many you trained man?

summer is a great time to potty train a kid. it is so much easier when they don't have to wear a lot of clothes. just let her runa round the house without a diaper and keep the potty chair near by. she will pee on the floor a little, most likely, don't make a big deal about it but, tell her you want her to use the potty and that's what people do when they grow up, etc. potty training doesn't really take more than a few days when the kid is ready. the book i like is called, "Once Upon a Potty." There's also a video that goes along with it for the kid to watch -- just another way for them to see the point. don't stress too much about it. it's not worth it. it'll happen soon!

I got the 3 day potty training guide and it was pretty much a waste. Basically, stated the obvious-no diapers just underwear, praise, etc. I believe one of the signs of readiness was if your child woke up with a dry diaper first thing in the morning...provided you don't allow them to drink right before bedtime.

you know, i bought my son a potty training DVD at Barnes and Noble around his second birthday, just kind of hoping it would help but not really relying on it at all, well he watched the video, several times and all of the sudden starting peeing in the potty, three months later, he is fully potty trained! it's awesome, for consistency, i told him if he went with no accidents seven times in a row (i printed out the numbers one through seven and hung them up so he could pull them down each time) and gave him an extra incentive of a prize at the end of the seven....well it worked great and we are now diaper and accident free, hope it helps and good luck
[and i did not need to buy a potty for him, he uses the toilet like us with a stool to help him sit down, he just needs help with his pants and wiping]

3.5 what have you been doing? Not freaking out? Are you going to wait until she 6 or 7 years old? You do not need a book if you don't know what to do ask your mother. Believe me mine were trained at or before 2 years old. You best get with the program.
