jogging in one place is a good excercise also sit ups. make sure you are in good health first. Where are you trying to lose the 8 pounds? Is it around the midsection, or total body weight?

drink more water and eat less salt/ sugar. Walk around the block every day. Walk up and down the stairs. 8 lbs can easily be lost in a month.

What I started doing was having a fruit day. A day where you just eat fruits. The reason that is, is because you can eat as much fruit as you want and not gain any weight. It also gives you some fiber to poop that fat out.

find a fun way of excercising (even if its dancing around tha house for 30mins.)and try to eat healthie or in smaller porportions.

you get a special kind of pantees in the shop ( which dosent cost much) that makes you belly fit.
or you can just stop having oily foods...insted munch on carrots.

go on the atkins diet it includes not eating bread, pastas, no drinking sodas and eating every 4-5 hours research it on the internet i use to do it and it worked great..and i didnt have to excersize

its like they always say no pain no gain. losing weight is not easy. get off the couch, eat right, and excercise thats the best you can do.
