wondering if any ladies have ever experienced a very fast birth and were unable to make it to the hospital or even the car and had their baby at home. this is my 3rd baby and my previous labor was just over 1 hour. can anyone give me some advice on what to do it i am caught at home and hubby hasnt gotten home or ambulance hasnt arrived. i have a neighbour lined up just in case, im a little nervouse because none of my family live in the same state as me. and in australia doctors dont induce because of fear of fast birth. and i dont want to have my baby in the car. i saw my doc yesterday and the baby is healthy but small for gestational age. any advice is appreciated.

It seems like the only clothes that I can find for babys are cutesy little outfits with chickens and ducks. I want to find clothes that are cool and younger parnets can be proud to dress their kid in. Any suggestions on websites?

Hi!
ok im TTC, and me and my husband went for it on may 18th and the 20 my OV day wasnt untill the 21 of may. and on the 22 i started getting mild cramps.
my question is what is that from and why am i getting this cramps so early on??? I usally start getting cramps a week before my AF.

I'm sure my 5 month old is teething. She is CONSTANTLY sucking and chewing on her hands. They are so red and yucky looking. I put socks on her hands but after time they get soaked. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've read, heard and been told by doctors you cannot prevent a miscarriage ...unless you do dumb things which I don't, i won't even take a tylenol (i don't smoke, drink, take any sort of drugs, I have been on prenatal vitamins for over 8 months, I make sure to eat green things and fruits and protein and all that daily, get lots of rest don't carry heavy things...) what are the "things?"

When i go back to the dr. I will be 8 weeks that day, when we do a u/s I should be able to hear the heartbeat and see my baby right? and do they put it on your belly or stick it in you? I know that this may sound a little concited, but I have the cutest baby. Every where we go people always make comments on how cute he is, and how he looks like a Gerber baby. I was just wondering does anyone know how I can get him started in commercials or print work? Any feed back would be good.

He's thinks that when we say no, that it's funny. He doesn't understand the concept. So when we try and show him how to be soft he thinks it's a game. He starts laughing. My husband and I are both in the military...Navy to be exact...I am 30 weeks pregnant, and even though I know his ship isn't going anywhere for a long time, I'm so scared for some reason he won't be able to be with me for the delivery. Even though his command has said that they will let him go if I go into labor while he's at work.

Also, I'm getting so scared worrying about complications during labor, I know they don't happen much but I'm starting to get scared...Last night I started crying because of it all...I just don't know how to ease my mind. It was so bad I couldn't go to sleep until my husband promised me that he would be there holding my hand throughout the whole thing.

How can I put my mind to ease? I am just so scared, and I know I really don't have a reason to be, but I just can't get myself to think that.

She has a chance to transfer to a new school for 11th grade this fall away from home (she can live at the school).

She's pretty, confident, sweet, NOT weird. Has few friends except a few at school she never sees on weekends as reads novels ALL THE TIME. Reads from time arrives home until 10:30 pm when she starts her homework. All weekend she reads. Has A's and B's. But she is LAZY. Won't do her one chore (emptying dishwasher) unless reminded several times. Out of shape. Says she likes to read & that's why she reads all the time

The old school has an AWESOME marching band of 300 kids and my girl would be in top band this fall, and they play like a town orchestra--gorgeous. New school has 18 kids in band. She joined a few clubs 2 months ago, kinda late.

I just want my kid to get a work ethic and socialize and stop reading. I'm always reading too & not involved after I get home, so the example at home is to just read all the time.

Should my kid go away to school?

Im 6 1/2 weeks pregnant according to my doctor and over the past week or so (according to my fiancee) I have lost my curves and put of bit of flab on my butt (he still loves me though :-)). Now I've noticed that I've become curver and my pot bellyish in the front of my body.

After seeing my mother this morning she has said that "You are more than 6 weeks and you are putting on weight exactly like I am and your having a girl"

Do ya'll think it possible that my first pregnancy could be like hers? The whole like mother like daughter things going on? It is genectically possible that my first pregnancy will be identical to her first preganancy with me?
