would a cyst on your ovary cause a light cycle?

i just found out i have a small cyst but the cycle lasted one day. I am 35 and have heard cycles are lighter as you get older.

Cysts can affect your menstruation. If they get big enough, they can even stop it alltogether.

it can be true but every1 is diffrent. you also have 2 b careful that it doesnt get bigger cause it can burst or rupture
