I like the idea of a birth center better where you have the freedom to move around, or be in water.
If any of you have had experiences with both, can you tell me which was better?
A hospital birth just seems cold and scary to me.

how can you take a shower when your 1 and 2 yr old are awake and get into everything all the time when unsupervised. and when you are home with only them?

He isn't sure which branch to join though. He'd do well with coast guard especially, but he seems to be favoring the Army, due to it's more advanced training. I'm opposed to the Army, only because of our situation. We have two children, a two year old and a three month old. I stay home with them and am very comfortable and thankful for this. We really have a decent set up. I plan to go to college and earn a degree in el-ed. However, I have a heart problem, one that is getting worse. I am only 20 years old, and my Mother passed just last year from heart failure. She was only 39. I guess I'm scared of what would happen if my health continues to get worse and my fiance is off serving the military. I have appointments late in this month to try and figure out what course of action is needed to help my heart. We're waiting and thinking of what to do. Are you a family person in the Military? How have things changed for you and your family? Any regrets? Please just give insight. Thanks!

I know this woman ( and no she it is not me lol) and she is 26 years old and lives with her parents, but the thing is that she leaves her 3 year old son home alone well she was doing it when he was 2 1/2 years old so she's been doing it for a while. Anyway she leaves him because she dosnt want to mess with getting him ready to go in the mornings when she has to work which is 5 days a week. Now, she mind you she is able to take her son to work with her she is a bus driver and all the moms are allowed to do this. She also has been reported as a known child abuser and she has been mean to my kids also and many other childeren that have ever been in her care! problem is child services wont remove this child from her custody because they have no proof!! she is very messy she cant even keep 1 tiny bedroom clean that her and her 3 year old share, she lives in filth. Is this normal parenting or is she a neglective and unfit mother? Should I be concerned or not?

Im about 4 weeks pregnant.. I read being constipated is common in pregnancy. the thing is.. i seem to have more regular bowel movements now then i was before i was pregnant. i find myself "going" at least two times everyday now. Its not diarrhea and im not constipated its just normal .. uhh poo.. I seem to "go" about 30 minutes after i eat.. even if i just eat a little snack! I was never even close to like this before i was pregnant it used to be a once a day thing and sometimes every other day..




im not eating more then i did before i was pregnant they only things i am doing different is sleeping a little more. i didnt smoke or anything before pregnancy or now. and i JUST started taking prenatals 2 days ago.. but this has been going on for about two weeks now..

im just curious.. as to why this is happening.. and wondering if this has happened to anyone else


again im really sorry if this is gross im just wondering whats going on

What are the chances of having a missed miscarriage?
I am 9wks pregnant. One of my biggest fears is having a m/c. I had an u/s done at seven weeks and we saw the heartbeat flicker on the ultrasound. However, I don't really feel pregnant. I have no breast tenderness, morning sickness or nausea, and I don't feel too tired or have to pee a lot, so I am scared that maybe I had a m/c and didn't know. Is that likely or should I calm down?

I had my last period during the week of April 23 and it was normal. I was late picking up my birth control pills due to insurance issues and did not start the pack until the week of May 7th. So I missed a week of pills. I had unprotected sex with my bf on the 10th of May and I had an unusual amount of discharge several days before we had sex and after (sorry tmi) Since then I have been having pregnancy symptoms headaches, fatigue, sore and swollen breasts and have just felt pregnant but some symptoms have seemed to subside some except the enlarged breasts. I started my period on the 28th of May when I took the "sugar pills" but I only bleed for a day and it was not consistent with my normal flow....much lighter in flow and color and sticky like discharge (sorry again tmi). My bf and I will welcome a child. Is there a chance that I could be pregnant? Has anyone had this happen before?

What I would like to do is pump milk - put it in the refridgerator - then at the end of the day put it in the freezer for when I go back to work. Is this okay? Everything I have read shows to freeze milk to put it into the freezer right away.

(The reason I want to do it at the end of the day is in case I need to give some to my son)

hi im 40weeks pregnant in 2 days and im getting really bad cramping pain and diarreah im due to be induced on 1st june but the pain is getting bad as it will come and go and is irregular so i dont think its labor but i dont know weather to phone my the hospital or wait and keep having paracetomol and baths thank-you hayley.

OK, I'm sure I deserve being berated or scolded for this, but after you're finished doing so, please help with any advice you feel you can give.

I really really really want a child, and my husband doesn't. I have an IUD. I had it removed today. (We moved recently and I saw a new ob/gyn for the first time.) The doctor is under the assumption that I don't want kids, and I felt too much shame to tell the truth--that I was having it removed without telling my husband. I told him I wanted it out because of heavy/painful menstrual periods (which is true, actually, but that's not the main reason). He (the doctor) said that we needed to talk about another form of birth control, but to use another method in the mean time, and come back in two weeks to have routine bloodwork and make a decision about birth control. In the event I do become pregnant, what do I tell my doctor and my husband? My husband will prob. want to attend my prenatal appts. and I'm terrified that my ob/gyn will

We're not pregnant yet, but we're both very curious. My husband is 6'2'' with dirty blond hair and blue eyes. I am 5'5'' with very dark brown hair and hazel eyes. I realize there is no guarantee what a baby may look like, but I'm curious anyways! I am expecting my second child with my husband. We are so excited because we have tried for so long. My daughter is not his real child but does treat her as his so this is our first. My husband does have a son from his first marriage and he was born with a lot of problems. His son will be 5 this year, he was born with one of every organ that should have 2 all accept his lungs he has 1 1/2 and is on a breathing tube and will not eat solids. I think what he has is Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. Now, no one else on my husbands side has ever had any problems like this...none of his siblings and none of his nieces and nephews or parents. So does this just happen or is it genetic? I love my step son and I will love my new baby very much no matter what...I mean I know it would scare any parent to find out that something is not right with there child. I do not want to say anything to my husband because I have already started to and he told me to shut up and not think like that...he said

Or is Cougar too weird? Samuel is passed down so it's a must. Lynn is the last name. Sisters names are Madeline and Teagan. I'm not sure Cougar fits in. What do you think?

I need to get my labor started! i have been having contractions since 30 weeks. my dr gave me the ok to have the baby now...(my baby has had steroid shots to help her lungs a long time ago) My dr said i have to have contractions that are 5m apart and lasting one min...... i have contractions all day long i just need to get them going and regular! ive tried walking everywhere and still nothing...please don’t tell me she will come when she wants to or that i need to chill till 40 weeks...my mind is made up i want her OUT! Any ideas oh and im already at a 4 and 75%.......

Okay I have this friend who's not a real close friend who has a 3 year old daughter. Anyhow her daughter has started calling my son her little brother. Her mother thinks it's cute and encourages it. I'm not so sure that I'm okay with it as my son isn't able to understand what a sister is right now. He will eventually as he has a 17 year old half-sister. My baby is 3 and a half months, my last period was 27th april.... still nothing yet which is unusual. Haven't used protection on a couple of occasions. had gestational diabetes in 1st pregnancy, sugars returned to normal post birth. Now they increasing again. could this be cos im expecting again?

My son currently only drinks non-dairy formula. He is at step 2 for solids. I've mainly been giving him rice cereal, fruits, veggies, oatmeal and then formula. I've been told that babies need whole milk not only for calcium but because the fat in it helps with motor skills or something like that. We are also trying to stay as fresh and raw as possible as well. What would a daily diet look like for him? How does the food pyramid look for our lifestyle? Thanks!
