Sounds like you're already halfway there.
I would be telling you doctor to induce you. In fact, I'm really surprised he hasn't if you're that far dialted.
I would call him and tell him enough is enough, get the show on the road.
Good luck!

• Nipple stimulation: Twisting or pinching your nipples releases your own natural oxytocin. A few studies have found it to be effective in getting labor going within 72 hours if your cervix is already ripe, but the method has not been well studied. (THIS WORKED BOTH TIMES ON MY BOYS) Remember this doesn't happen in 5 mins it normally takes about an hrs to really start the contractions and keep them going. Good luck!!!

• Sexual intercourse: Semen contains some prostaglandin and having an orgasm may stimulate a few contractions, but having sex won't induce labor.

• Castor oil: Castor oil is a strong laxative, and stimulating your bowels may cause some contractions, but no good studies have proven it consistently effective, and you're likely to find the effect on your gut very unpleasant.

• Herbal remedies. A variety of herbs are touted as useful for labor induction. Some are risky because they can hyperstimulate your uterus (and may be unsafe for your baby for other reasons as well), and the safety and effectiveness of others remains unproven.

Hope these help! PLEASE try the first one I listed first it sounds retarted I know but it works. My Dr swares by it. I now two sware by it. Have a great day and congrads.

The next two cm will be the hardest, they seem to take the longest. Have you tried nipple stimulation? Combined with sex it is not only fun but can be effective. I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but no amount of sex, nipple stimulation, walking or just about anything can make that baby come until she's ready. You may do those things for weeks and get nowhere and then labor just starts in earnest one day. With my second, I was contracting and dilating for a week! I got to 4 cm and it took almost 3 days to get to 6cm, then I had him inside of 12 hours. Good luck

Try just 'relaxing' and tell yourself that the baby will come in her own 'good time' ... but I'm going to tell you why I said that, after you said you didn't want that for an answer ... it's because I've given birth to five babies, and every time I thought I'd had 'it' and wanted to baby to come it made the time seem to 'stretch to the thinness of air' ... but as soon as I could 'relax' and 'wait' the 'real labor' started in a day or two, and I had my baby ... that's called 'counterintuitive conditioning' and it really does 'work' in this case ... so RELAX ... you'll decide you 'need to go shopping' when you are on the delivery table, and that is 'normal' too ...

I was going to give you some ideas, but how far along are you? why is your doc giving steriod shots so early in pregnancy? is there other complications? you need to be a little more spicific. cause at 30 weeks, your baby is not ready to come out unless it's "medically nessary" and your doc is an idiot if he's helping you have your baby so early. it's so dangerous. by the way, having so many contraction is bad for the baby when your not actually in labor, your doc should have told you that as well, it cuts off oxygen to your baby, and can cause brain damage. do your research, and talk to your doc. so I'll give you some ideas, as long as you say how far along you are.

Every pregnant woman feels this way at the end. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do at home to induce labor. You'll just end up wasting money and time on old wives tales. Trust God and nature, TRY to be patient, and just hunker down for a few weeks. It will all be over soon.

I'm really surprised that they let you go home at 4cm...

you could always try stimulating your nipples-- sounds weird but it releases a hormone in your body that they use to induce labor. its kinda like giving yourself some pitocin.

end bouncing on the ball. You run the danger of tearing the placenta from the wall of your uterus. the baby releases hormones that triggers labour. different halves thoughts can not speed that technique up. Curry provides you with gasoline for start, this is each and every of the solid it does! save your potential for transport and your new born.
