ahhhhhh, mum had this problem. she had twins, then when they were 3 i popped along!! anyway, she just (sounds bad, but they loved it) put my bro n sis into the wash basket! they just sat there doing pretty much bugger all, n then wen i came i was just sat in a bouncer chair or my buggy. maybe u culd get a play pen to put them in? if ur bathrooms not big enuf then put it just outside the room, but so u can still hear/see them.

VERY QUICKLY!!! LOL. I try to shower when my son is napping, which I realize with 2 children, they may not nap at the same time. When I must shower while my son is awake, I have gates blocking off the rooms I don't want him in, and I let him only go back and forth between the bathroom and the hallway outside the bathroom, which is completely babyproofed and safe. Perhaps you can bring the two of them in the bathroom with you with some toys for them to play with and close the door so they can't get out and shower very very fast. Otherwise, if you haven't already done so, start babyproofing and buy a good gate. Good luck, I know how hard it is with just one, so I can't imagine trying to do it with 2 kids!

I have a 19 month old, the bathroom is right next to his bedroom. I use a baby gate across the hallway and a baby gate at the bathroom door. His bedroom is babyproofed and incredibly safe. With the bathroom door open I can take a quick shower and still hear what he's doing. I'll also yell out every 40-60 seconds and he'll come say hi to me. It works for us. Another option is to shower before they wake up or when they're napping.

Yep, I go through this too! Mine are 2 and 7 months. Usually I take the 2 yr. old with me. I put enough water inthe tub for him to play with his toys at one end and I shower at the other. Its kinda cramped but hey, it gets the job done. I usually put my 7 month old in his bouncer, or a swing or even his pack and play (if he isnt already napping) but its a little different with a 1 year old! Have you thought about putting the 1 year old in the bathroom with some toys and showering with 1/2 the curtain open? Make sure any cabinets, and toliet seats are secured....even if it means using tape! Best bet is to do it while one is sleeping and taking the other with you. We call them "showerbaths" Good luck! You aren't alone!

When my kids were 18 months and 3 months old I would put my youngest in his bouncy seat in front of the bathroom door with some toys and my oldest in his high chair with some crackers. This way I knew both would be safe and I could take a shower. I would leave the door open so I could peak at them from time to time to make sure they were ok.

i used to place a baby gate across my two year olds sons roonm and give him toys to play with while i took a quick daytime shower. i would leave the bathroom door open so i could hear better then after he was in bed at night i would take a longer bath or shower . you can also place that age down for a short nap while you do an afternoon shower, my son took naps til age 4 and i weaned him off it just before kindegarten. nap time can be your time for personal care and you need that

In the morning when your hubby is home and I do it very quckly I ahve a 4,2 and 1 year old. I take a shower and wash my hair in under 2 minutes, because hubby doesnt watch as god as mommy does. Needless to say, its a previlidged day when I get to shave my legs etc. I never blow dry my hair anymore either and make up that's done in the car when they are strapped into their carseats and I'm in the front seat in the car port. I dont even bring the makeup in the house anymore.

See my brother and sister used to do that. So when I needed to shower really bad I would put them in a play pen close to the door to wear I could see them if I looked out of the shower.

Get some really good snacks (fruit snacks) and bring them in the bathroom with you close the door, or put a child lock on the handle so they can't get out, and have a quick shower! I do it with my 19 month old soon all the time.

When my twins were babies i used to settle them off to sleep after their night time feed, put the monitors on and pop in the shower, as long as they are in a safe place asleep like the cot they will be fine for a little while until you have finished your shower x

I shower when they are asleep and I take the baby monitor in the bathroom with me. So showering could be anytime, early, early morning, afternoon nap, late at night. Or I shower when a relative pops round.
