I would say this is abuse in the form of neglect. I know in Mass., it is illegal to leave a child that young at home alone, so you may even want to research that in your own state. It is really disturbing to hear she has a job around children and "is a known abuser". All that is in you power is to report her to the powers that be, such as Social Services and the the Department of Youth Services, and of course, to the school system she is driving the bus for. It is hard to watch and I too have been in this situation. Just try to keep your own children safe at this time. Opportunites to help the other child will come at some point.

Should be be concerned? HELLO! You know you should - that's why you are posting here right?
This woman is a mess. Call protective services immediately and insist that they come to check on the child during the hours that this so-called mother is not home.
Better yet, if you know for sure that the child is home alone, call the police to come over (you can do this anonymously if you prefer). This way, when the police find the child alone, protective services will have to get involved.
This child is going to get hurt. It's not an 'if" but a "when".
If you ignore this situation then you are just as much to blame WHEN the child finds his/herself in harms way - not to be harsh but you gotta step up! Little ones have no voice of their own with this

If that baby is alone, call DPS and tell them she is alone! They will all the proof they need if they show up and no one but the little boy is there. As for the bedroom issue, my house is terrible, I'm on bed rest for the last week of this pregnancy and my husband has failed miserably at the housework, at my best, my bedroom has never been clean but even when the kids sleep with us, they aren't allowed to play in there. Keeping up with the house is a skill and it takes years to master, most of us are not taught how to do it like our mothers and grandmothers were. Try not to judge too harshly. If the little boy is left alone, that is an issue, call DPS when you know he is alone. If he is allowed to sleep in while Grandma keeps an ear out, then he's fine and leave it alone.

Yes, you should be concerned. She sounds very unfit to be responsible for someone's life right now. Call child services, at least they can get an investgation started. Do all that you can do to get this child into a better, more stable home. Be head strong and do not give up! This is an innocent child's life, he is in harm when left alone!!

what i dont understand is you say she lives with her parents???? what are they doing? why isnt the house clean? why is no on there to care for this child? If the baby is alone all day when she is gone you call the police and tell them you know of a 3 yr old child who is home alone, they will get in take the child and cps will have to out that kid in foster care until she can prove to be fit.

Call child services. Tell them what you know. They will start an investigation. If nothing else, it'll show her that she is accountable for her children and if she doesn't shape up, someone will take her kids away from her.
Some people have kids and don't really know what to do. Those people are hurting the things most valuable in this world, and should at the very least be educated.

Um a little confused here. You say she lives with her parents, but she can't keep her 1 bedroom apartment clean? How can 4 people live in a 1 bedroom apartment? And from personal experience they don't need proof before the do an investigation, they walk in unannounced and poof bye-bye kids.

First of all...after reading what you have told us about this woman..why on earth would you leave your child with her to start with? And when she leaves her child alone..which is definitely abuse...where are her parents? report her as many times as it takes to remedy this situation.

i know in ny....if someone calls CPS (child protective service) on a parent about anything about a child...that next 2 minutes they are at your door...there was an incident where my cousin's grandson was in school sleeping and come to find out the mother gave him nyquil and put it in his bookbag. They took him to the hospital and right there waiting was CPS... he ended up taking his grandson away and now has custody...sometimes its a hard thing to do to a mother but some people arent fit to have kids...if i was you...before you call...find out the next of kin...and talk to them about whats going on....they probably can take the child in until she can get her shyt straight...alot of times you have these people that we call on to help in situations like this and they dont like to do paper work...dont like opening cases...hell...just to do work at all.....and this is why crap like this doesnt get resolved the right way..good luck

I think you know the answer to this question. Anyone with a modicum of common sense cans ee that this women should not have custody of her kids. She should be reported before something terrible happens to that child.
If you are afraid to do so, do it anonymously. But do it.
