Pregnancy & Parenting - 30 May 2007

It was negative, still no period and I am not ever late. Should I test again or wait a week or so? The thing is my fiancee leaves town for a week for business this Friday. I don't really want to find out when he is gone, you know? Should I just test tomorrow? If I wait till he's gone after that long I will pretty much know I am pregnant and want him there for the "finding out part"

My baby has got small dots on her chest, back, arms and legs which aren't particularily red but look a little dry in places and do join together in areas and look a little redder. Any ideas what they are? She isnt unwell and they dont seem to be bothering her

I have heard conflicting stories. Is daily (sometimes 2x a day) too much? Anyone start out daily with no luck and then concieve when they cut back? Help a sista out plz!

Daughter had many car accidents smoked drank & wanted to stay out all night all while not talking much more than a yeah or a grunt that was supposed to be a yeah. It started she could do anything as long as the truth was told. She lied some & the rules got tighter. Prior to that she got pregnant tried to kill herself, since then I have worried sick about her every time she went out. I could not handle being walked on. It was come home sleep & hide in her room with the cell phone to her ear. We Set some rules last night she tried to follow, but I could not get past some messages from boys on a cell phone, nor could I not try to impose more rules. I told her the only thing at 18 that changed was she could leave. She left told my wife on phone at work she would join military or kill herslef. She has a boyfriend short time. Shemay move in with? I did give her a hug after we packed her in a car hers & told her in any real danger she can come back she was in local college.

pretty soon, in 6 mo., I'm going to be out on my own raising either my little brother/sister or 2 little brothers/sisters (it's a long story i think my moms lying to me about having twins. she hasn't been to the doctor, but just in case). i have a good paying job, and now i'm wondering how hard it will be to find a landlord who will take me seriously. I'm trying to get emancipated, so I'l be on my own with the kid(s). If you were a land lord, would you rent to me? and be honest.

My kid is just crazy! I mean, I know that to an extent some of this is normal two-year-old behavior, but how much of it? When I compare him to other kids his age, he's soooo much more hyper! Other kids will just hold onto their mom's finger while in line at the post office and suck on their thumbs - not mine! He's all over the place! I can't even stand in one spot long enough to write a check without him taking off and destroying displays. He ignores everything we tell him, but when I see other kids his age they'll do what they're told at least after a couple of times! On the other hand - he's EXTREMELY smart and at 25 months already recognizes his ABCs, has an extensive vocabulary, whereas my friend's boy of the same age isn't nearly as verbal. He's also shown interest in potty training without any prompting from his father or me. I just don't know what to think about this kid, other than just loving him!

My husband and I have been married for 6 years. My husbands son from his first marriage visits us every other weekend and for longer periods during vacations. I have two children and all of the children are close in age.
The problem? My children are very well behaved. (They are kids...dont get me wrong. They are not perfect. But My kids are 14 and 8, and I have yet to have a note home from school about their behavior and am asked often what I did to get such good children.) My stepson is the opposite. He lies, refuses to follow simple family rules and is constantly a problem. Its not just with us...his mother is at a loss and does not know how to handle him.
I just dont know what to do anymore. I am beginning to resent the time that he is here, because I know all of my time will be spent dealing with him and not enjoying the time we have with all of the kids.
Any helpful advice is welcome. Before you ask...we spend loads of quality time with the kids. He isnt after attention.

My 5 yr. old daughter is an angel at school and is the best when we are around strangers... but, when she is w/ people she is completely comfy w/ , she gets out of control. She talks back continously, she swears, she tears things up of her sisters on purpose, and she thinks she is boss....She weighs 70 lb.s and is very tall for her age and very hard for me to make sit in the corner.. .I have almost tried every outlet.. help.. I have an appointment with the midwife tomorrow. I'm 13 weeks pregnant and hate the idea of ever having a baby... I know it sounds nasty but my work is my life and I go 'yuck' to new babies and hate children... he loves them and wants this child. but he is unreliable and not trustworthy, he's notl ikely to put anything into this house or any other with me.. he flirts with the world.. and only wanted to marry me after the baby question... i was in lust seemed like a good idea.. well now i know my career is the stable force in my life and I can't afford to bring this thing up alone. I'm not sure my conscience would let me have an abortion but hate the idea of hospitals and not sure I can give birth. just don't know what to do and cried every day since the start of april about this mess

I am miscarrying my baby. I am bleeding and cramping right now.
I already went to the hospital, and they confirmed No Heartbeat and also my levels went down. I go see my doctor tomorrow, so I probably have my DNC then. I am so angry!!! I am angry that people are having abortions willingly, and I miscarried unwillingly. This is not fair!!! Why couldn't I have had my baby and those people that have abortions miscarry. My 4 year old grandson is going to be tested for ADD on the 21st of June. My grandson and his dad (which is our son) live with us. I have been trying to pay close attention to what he eats and what might "trigger" some of his behavior. I have noted that he wakes up quite happy, but after the first glass of milk, his behavior gets quite aggressive and erratic. This is not every time, but most of the time. He does not complain of his tummy hurting or any other physical pain, so I'm sort of at a loss. Just wondering if this might be a milk allergy or if anyone has advice. Thanks!!

ive seen many questions ask if he baby could possibly move at 14 weeks. Some answers have been that is is possible and that you could have felt it earlier but confused it with gas or something. Can anybody be specific to what it actually feels like?Flutters??have no idea what flutter is.

I am confussed about my due date, my doctor is saying that my due date is on December 18th but I say it is the 14th. According to the pregnancy calculators on the web I am in my 12th week. I am so confused on this whole thing. My first day of my last period was March 11. Help me please. Thanks

My daughter, who is 19, has a not quite 2month old (he will be 2 months on the 11th of June). She wants to go to the beach in Charleston, S.C. Now they are talking about getting an umbrella but it will just be my daughter and her girlfriend. And they are planning on going all day!
This past week-end we were there but I kept him with me at the motel. He has had problems since he was born with a bad wheeze and after him going into the hospital at about 3 wks we found he has reflex and we have to put drops down his nose before and after he eats to wash the formula down. Knowing this I guess I am really protective of him! But I know that he is her child. Please let me know if I am being a overly protective grandma!!??

I just got back from my obgyn and she told me that I was 2 to 3 cms' dilated and 50% effaced how long do you think it will be before I go into labor and have my baby(this is my 2nd). My first was born at 37weeks.

Also, I am scheduled for an induction on June7th if I don't go into labor by then. I will be 40 weeks and 5days.
What do you guys think?
