ive seen many questions ask if he baby could possibly move at 14 weeks. Some answers have been that is is possible and that you could have felt it earlier but confused it with gas or something. Can anybody be specific to what it actually feels like?Flutters??have no idea what flutter is.

You know when you're on a roller coaster and it drops suddenly? That falling feeling in your belly...that's what it felt like to me in the very beginning.

Later on it feels like someone is kicking your @ss from the inside out...lol...but in the beginning it felt like that fluttery falling feeling in my belly...

There is really nothing quite like it...it's one of the many precious things specific to pregnancy and motherhood that should be enjoyed and cherished.

The first time I actually felt my son move when I was pregnant it felt like a gas bubble moving upwards (only for a split second) and then went away all together. They start to get stronger and more frequent as time goes on where you can't even mistake it for gas. If it's early on, it feels like a twitch or like you said flutter in your stomach. Hope this helps

Imagine a butter fly stuck in one spot inside your belly and flapping its wings really fast. Thats a flutter. Gas moves around your belly, a moving fluttery baby makes movements in the same spot, it doesnt flutter and move along your belly at this stage. Eventually it will.

It feels a lot like gas, but eventually you start to realize its a different feeling you're having.

It depends on the person. I never felt "flutters" (which I would imagine to feel like butterflies) but I did feel like tiny bubbles were popping in my stomach. I did confuse it with gas for a few weeks until they were strong enough to identify.

i felt mine as early as 12 weeks..people can tell you when it happened for sure or give a estimate of when it is likely but its different for everyone. A flutter to me feels like something rumbling lightly through my tummy. its like a tingly sensation. i can tell the difference between gas. just think of what a butterfly looks like while flapping its wings..now imagine it caught inside of your stomach, its like someone is tickling you from the inside..hope that was helpful.

It feels like tiny bubbles...i'm twelve weeks and i'm "sure" i have felt my baby fluttering around in there. I can tell the difference between that and gas, and am confused how other mothers can't tell the difference.

The first time I noticed movement it felt to me like a little bit of a tightening feeling. I wouldn't describe it as flutters when I first noticed it. It was more like gas a little later though.

It basically is like gas although when you do feel it you will know its the baby. It usually happens between 14 and 18 weeks everyones different. Although you may feel the baby move someone feeling your abdomen may not. It kinda feels like your being poked from the inside or this may be gross to some imagine a worm crawlling on your skin that would be a similar feeling.

At first, it feels like you are nervous and can't make yourself relax. Normally, if you were feeling a little nervous, you could take a deep breath and feel better, when the baby first starts to move, it feels like that, except no matter how many deep breaths you take, your stomach still feels nervous. After a coupld of weeks, it feels like there is actually a butterfly in your abdomen. Just light little brushes that you wonder if they really happened. About the time you are convinced that you are crazy, you feel little movements that you know are actually the baby. They feel like your organs are lightly bumping into each other. After that, you start getting pummeled! Hope that helps.

Have you ever been so excited about something that your stomach flutters for a second? That's what it feels like, at least to me.
