i have been reading alot of questions, and answers. and I've noticed one thing that has me confused. maybe someone can help me with this.

if a woman gets preganant, and chooses to end the pregnancy users call her a "baby killer" and other things. i understand you have a right to your opinion, but thats not what confuses me.

if a woman who is pregnant, decides that abortion is wrong, wants to continue the pregnancy but has a limited source of income, and asks a question about public assistance some of the same users say "get off public assitance, get a job, stop using tax payers money".

now thats the confusing part. wouldnt a person who is against abortion be for public assistance when it comes to saving a baby? i really want to know because im confused.

I went for a growth scan today and was told the baby is big - she currently weighs 3lb 5oz - which for this gestation is on the 97th percentile.
Do you think I will have a big baby or something is wrong with her?

My partner and I are currently trying to concieve, I was just wondering if you'd like to share some of the great moments/highlights/things that make it all worthwhile of being a parent!
I like the warm fuzzies, and it makes it expecting seem so rosy! :)

I am always informed of the negative things (screaming, getting no sleep, painful breastfeeding etc) so what are in your opinion the positives that outweigh these?

Thanks!!

I was wondering if babies are fatter/gain more weight if they are formula fed versus breast milk fed babies. I have an 11 month old baby girl and have always breast fed her. I wouldn't do it any other way! But I recently had a discussion that formula fed babies are skinnier than breastfed babies because parents give the bottle to formula fed babies (measure the exact quantities). I pump during the day since I work full time but the evenings/weekends she gets the boob so I'm not sure how much she eats but she stops when she's full. Obviously now she eats solids but during the first 6 months she was exclusively breast fed and was always in the 25th percentile or less for her weight. This question isn't about whether formula is better/worse than breastmilk......

And he has been since about week 28 and I'm now 34 weeks pregnant, do you think he'll stay that way until I deliver? He hasn't changed the head down position since 28 weeks and he is facing my back...is it possible he could still turn? Cause that would be so disappointing!

I'm 34 weeks pregnant, going on 35 weeks or already there and my prenatal is tomorrow, but they haven't checked or even spoken about checking my cervix. Can I ask them to check it? I've tried checking it myself like 3 times and for the life of me I can NOT reach that thing to save my life. lol, plus it hurts to try and reach up that far. Do you think they will if I ask?

At 8 weeks the doc tried to hear the heartbeat with a doppler b/c i thought i was actually 12 weeks. He couldn't hear it so they did a vaginal ultrasound and heard it that way. The tech said no wonder the dr. couldn't hear it b/c my uterus is tilited. Does this mean he might not be able to hear the heartbeat at 12 weeks with a doppler? will they do an ultrasound again to hear it? it will freak me out if i don't hear the heartbeat.

My 2 year old son has been sleeping through the night for about a year and has recently started wakin up in the middle of the night and I can never get him to go back to sleop in his bed so he always ends up in ours... in our bed especially in the morning time... he constantly is diggin his toes and feet either up my shirt, down my shorts in my back bone in my ribs... you get the picture... and its not just annoying it kinda hurts.... then during the day he is constantly on top of me... he has to be touching me in some way... most of the time it is on my lap with his head directly in front of mine so I cant do anything but dig his hair out of my mouth... and when I try to move my head around his... he knows and puts it right back in front of mine... I'm a stay at home mom and don't have any family around to watch him... I just need him off of my lap or leg or arms so I can get some house work done without it bein 12 at night... PLEASE HELP!!!

so rude. lsn't this a forum for asking honest questions, and expressing opinions? I think the way some parents take offense shows that they are obviously insecure about something, perhaps their own poor parenting skills? Yes l have children, yes they have days where they play me up no end, and yes, l have the same wealth of experience as any other parent (possibly more than some). Why do people respond like this?

Hi there! My daughter Emma is 9 months old, and really does not care for a sippy cup. I have tried all kinds, different brands, etc. The only thing she will drink water from is a water bottle with one of those squirt tops on them. Any suggestions?

I can't understand the concept. Thou shall not kill??? People are put in prison and sometimes to death for killing another person.. but abortion is legal..?? Hmm.. And they have made safe places to drop off a unwanted baby to be placed into adoption.. I just don't get it! Thanks for your answer.

People say "oh it was an accident" This kind of accident is preventable and is under your control. So why have or kill an unwanted baby because of your dumb mistake??? I am fed up with seeing all of these "what do I do I can't have a baby?" "Should I abort?" UHHHH!! Get it together!

i told my girlfriend this position wouldn't get her pregnant and she trusted me and so we did it, and she got pregnant. she is suing me for child support now and very mad at me. We are dating for 2 months. I love her. I don't want to be away from her. She is 1 month pregnant. We are thinking of abortion. Is that a good idea?
