my opinion is NO. SInce you've been on the pill for that long it might take quite some time for it to not be effective anymore. I was on the patch for almost 2 years and it took me exactly 1 year after getting off it to get pregnant. But it depends on the women also. Usually i've heard 6-12mos..

I took the pill for 16 years. When my husband and I decided it was time to start a family, I stopped taking the pill for 3 months to kind of clean out my system. We got pregnant in the first month that we started TTC. Good luck!

It is different for everyone really, but it took me 6 months when I got off the pill. That was when I got prenant with my son. With my daughter, it took only a month or two which wasnt that long. Its really hard to tell. If you have any problems after waiting 6 months, I would consult your doctor. Good luck!

They say it takes about 3 months to get the effects of the pill totally out of most women's bodies...so be nice to yourself if you don't get pregnant right away.

No.

It suggested that if you want to try to conceive a child you should stop taking the pill 3-6 months BEFORE you want to try. This is to allow all of the hormones out of your system to get your body back to normal and protect your child from growing with those hormones in their system.

It will depend on the type of pill you were on.
Some say YES though and I've read on several twin sites that for some reason, you have a slightly higher chance of concieving twins because of the years of supressed ovulation. (Therefore it's hyperstimulated)

There are some pills though, that people report taking for long long periods of time then becoming infertile or having a very hard time concieving.
