Talk to your doctor and get an ovulation kit--you need to stop the guessing portion and get some answers.

Unless you don't mind getting pregnant - never assume "oh, I'm safe."

Ovulation can happen at any time. Yes, 99% of the time ovulation happens at that magic 14 days before the period starts, but there's always the off chance that it can happen at any time. In this case, even if your problem caused that egg not to appear, there's always the possibility that you were releasing 2 eggs that cycle.

Various discussion boards like this are full of stories where women say things like "I know I got pregnant the day before my period was supposed to start" or "...2 days after my period ended". It happens. If you don't want to be a statistic, take precautions. if you do want to get pregnant, I'm sure your significant other would be happy to give it a try regardless of timing or odds.

As for conception dates - well, there's not much you can do. If you are having regular sex, you have to guess; if you know which day you "did it", bonus. Worst case, you have a plus-or-minus window of a month or two. With the ultrasound later on, the doctor can make an educated guess based on development.

However, if due date is the biggest surprise you kid throws at you - well, they've got 18 years afterwords to make your life even more interesting.

I don't know that you will conceive this month. But there is always next month!
