you can find big crayons almost anywhere. they work wonderfully cause they are just the right size for a toddler to hold.

I buy several boxes of crayons during the back to school sales in August. You can use regular crayons for your 13 month old. She may prefer the big kind or just buy the regular ones. My kids get Crayolas starting when they are 6-7 months old (I take the paper off though). My kids were okay with pens and pencils at 13 months old but I only let them have them when I was sitting with them.

Crayola makes a larger crayon that is easier for small hands to hold and they have a washable kind it is labeled right on the box as washable. my daughter has written on almost everything in the house with them and it comes off easily with a baby wipe

Crayons. Crayola crayons. They are non-toxic and perfect for your little one. They even make fat ones that are easier to hold onto. Make sure you have plenty of paper. Crayons are hard to get off of furniture and walls.

Have fun with your little Picasso.

Crayola makes crayons that are thicker for little hands. They are called my first crayolas. You should be able to find them in any department store!

As long as she isn't really mouthy with things, you can just get her that very fattest kind that crayola makes. They worked with my big bird when she was that age. I do wonder about her little sister, wee bird, with them. She is 13 months but everything goes in the mouth!
