It depends on how far along she is. I was able to take benedryl, but it should be cleared with a doctor first.

According to my Dr and pharmacist it is best to not take anything for allergies during pregnancy especially in the first trimester. It's best to avoid the allergen that is triggering your attacks. My Dr did say though that if it my allergies get to be to intolerable I can use benadryl. Benadryl is strong and can make you drowsy so maybe you can try taking half. It is best if you are unsure to check with your Dr. because each individual dr has their own opinions. Some drs are more liberal than others.
I am pregnant and suffering the allergies and I am doing my darnedest to not take anything. I know how you feel.. Hang in there. Good Luck! Have a healthy and happy 9 months.

I'd ask the doctor because depending on what medication it is the answer might be no.
I guess it was just something in the air that day but something had me sneezing like crazy and my face was itching so I was going to take claritin but it's recommended that you dont because of the medications in the product.

i was given a list of medicines that were okay during pregnancy--sudafed-- just plain sudafed --not the cold and flu-- just the plain red box.. then there is the holistic methods of allergy relief.. a warm wash cloth over the eyes.. maybe a nice back rub if someone is nice enough.. i went for a pregnancy massage while i was pregnant-i walked outta there feeling wonderful.. look for a place that specializes in it- they do a facial massage that relieves all the pressure in the face amazingly.. take your fingers- pinch the bridge of your nose and slide them down the sides of your nose-then apply pressure to the area above your eyebrows- moving down the side toward your temples- then work towards the soft spot behind the ear- located just about behind the ear lobe--those techniques saved me during a summer pregnancy.. Good luck!

My allergist prescribed Zyrtec and Rhinocort for me (I was on Allegra and Nasonex before the pregnancy). He said both are class B medications. Obviously, a doctor needs to prescribe them. They've been helping a lot the last few weeks.

whilst i replaced into pregnant I took the over the counter Claritin D Non-Drowsy pills. My wellbeing care expert pronounced they have been ok. I even have undesirable allergic reactions too. I used to take Flonase - it truly is a nasal spray for allergic reactions - they are truly stable yet you may in straight forward terms get them with a prescription. i did no longer use those whilst pregnant simply by fact the Claritin have been working nicely for me. examine inclusive of your wellbeing care expert - he/she wil permit you recognize which prescription and non-prescription drugs you may take effectively whilst pregnant.

Only doctors can tell you that. I still wouldn't risk taking any medications even if it was safe.

You can take Benedryl. I was told by my doctor to take it to put me to sleep at night. But you should check with your doctor first to make sure they feel the same way.
