At 8 weeks the doc tried to hear the heartbeat with a doppler b/c i thought i was actually 12 weeks. He couldn't hear it so they did a vaginal ultrasound and heard it that way. The tech said no wonder the dr. couldn't hear it b/c my uterus is tilited. Does this mean he might not be able to hear the heartbeat at 12 weeks with a doppler? will they do an ultrasound again to hear it? it will freak me out if i don't hear the heartbeat.

I also have a tipped or tilted uterus. It can sometimes make it difficult for them to hear the heartbeat early in pregnancy. As the baby grows and the weight in your uterus increases, the uterus should then move into a "more normal" position.
You could try seeing a massage therapist who does cranial sacral therapy. When I was PG, my tipped uterus evidently turned back to the "normal" position right after I started getting regular massages and cranial sacral work done.

8 weeks is actually very early to hear the heartbeat, so that is a good sign. At 12, you should be fine with a doppler, 8 wks. was just too early.

My uterus is also tilted and I had a very healthy, normal pregnancy. I heard the heartbeat on doppler for the first time at 10 weeks, although my OB still considered that a little early for doppler. Good luck!

They should be able to hear the heartbeat at 12 weeks. A tilted uterus sometimes makes it harder to conceive and delivery a little harder (at least it was for me). When I was 12 weeks they heard the baby's heartbeat just fine, but when I went into labor it took a little longer to deliver because I did not want to fully dilate (9 cm and stopped). Don't let a tilted uterus alarm you everything is fine and you will be able to hear the heartbeat soon!

I too have a tilted uterus. It took me 11 months to concieve. i attempted some suggestion (that I initially theory sounded stupid - even even though it might desire to or will possibly no longer have been the foremost, it truly is truly worth a shot appropriate?) the suggestion i replaced into given is that simply by fact your uterus may be tilted forward (extremely of the typical backwards tilt) you will possibly desire to opposite the suggestion of laying on your decrease back with a pillow decrease than you bum for 20 minutes or longer, i began out laying on my abdomen with the pillow decrease than me and have been given pregnant appropriate away, like I pronounced it might have been a twist of fate even even though it truly is truly worth a shot. (and as quickly as I did this I have been given pregnant, and have been attempting for 10 months previous to this) stable success!! i desire you get your BFP quickly! *edit* knkim02 - having a tilted uterus does not make it harder for the wellbeing care expert to pay attention the heart beat, your uterus is going to "popular" because it grows in the time of being pregnant, it additionally does not reason miscarriage. brwneyed - please do no longer permit those solutions scare you, human beings do have miscarriages each and every of the time even even though it truly isn't any longer because of this subject.

its common and ok. when the baby is small you will probably have to listen internally, as he/she grows you will hear it better depending on how it is laying. relax and enjoy
