I would be willing to place a high wager that it is eczema. I worked for a derm for 4 years. The places you say the rash is are atypical places for eczema and the dry skin with red patches. Eczema is more common in children with allergies, so what's the pollen count or RAST in your area right now? But, the only way to know for sure what it is to take her to her ped. If it is eczema, don't use soaps with bathing.Use Aveeno oatmeal baby wash if needed, also, Baby NAturals makes a baby eczema cream, they sell both of these at Wal Mart. They both work really well.Good luck!

Personally speaking - i have one rule for my 13 month old - any thing out of the ordinary - and im sitting in my pedetricians clinic..... and i suggest u do the same. Dont take a chance with a child. Till the time they grow up and are able to explain wot is bothering them - leave the thinking to the doctor. Even if it turns out to be a heat rash.....at least u will have an informed opinion.
And dont worry abt being labled a possessive mom - better that lable than a sick child!!!

Did you have her outside or is it hot in your house? SOunds like a run of the mill heat rash-just ry to keep her cool and comfy. If you go outside, put her in a hat and try to stay out of the sun as much as possible.

just a heat rash, baby acne, or an allergy to something. I'm sure you're planning on a doctor call or visit, so i'm not gonna tell you that. Good Luck

my son just had a rash like that several days ago... to avoid a trip to the doc that i didn't know if it was necessary i called... she told me that babies tend to get alot of rashes.. as long as they are running no fever and seem to be well.. then there is really no worry... try giving her an aveeno bath... she should be fine.. but i would recommend calling her doc just to get their advice!!!

Sounds like regular old baby acne. If you haven't switched soaps, lotions or laundry detergents, don't worry about it. If it starts to itch, spread or bother her at all, then ask your doctor about a cream you can use.
