I just got back from my obgyn and she told me that I was 2 to 3 cms' dilated and 50% effaced how long do you think it will be before I go into labor and have my baby(this is my 2nd). My first was born at 37weeks.

Also, I am scheduled for an induction on June7th if I don't go into labor by then. I will be 40 weeks and 5days.
What do you guys think?

Sorry, but no one here can answer that for you. Every woman is different, it could be only hours, but it could still be days before you have it. Good luck!

I was in labor for 43 1/2 hours with my son. I didnt change until about 7 hours before he was born. Up until then I was barely a CM and 50% effaced.

Walk, walk walk walk, and walk some more. Do some squats and cat backs. Sit on an exercise ball, it helps open your pelvis and position the baby. Mop your floors on hands and knees. Helps the baby move as well.

Stimulate your nipples. Use your breast pump for 20 minutes here and there, or just rub them for that long. That works really REALLY well. It causes contractions.

Dont get induced. Thats hell, pitocin is so dangerous and makes your labor so much worse and so much longer, not to mention the risk of complications goes up. Have them try cervidel first its more natural.

Sounds like you are really close!!! Speaking from experience, avoid the induction at all costs!!! There are lots of home remedies you can try to induce labor on your own, I reccomend trying these before you let them artificially induce you...here is a link to some of the home remedies you can try. good luck !!
