1st off: Lip peircings are hott!! I'm 15 (male) and I want my lip peirced also but my parents absolutely won't let me :( So you might have to do what I'm going to do which is wait until your 18. :( Its a long wait but the day will come eventually.

To be honest with you in most states you need to be 16 years of age with parental consent. understand there are many risks you take piercing such a spot. I had mine done in January and I took it out at my wedding in the later part of January and the scar is still visable. If you intend on getting a piercing, I am not trying to shut it down for you because I have a total of 9 and 5 tattoos, atleast make it be in a hidden spot. If you go against your parents wishes and find someone to do it for you, then hide it by all means but you can let them know that you would much rather experiment with a piercing that you can take out at any time instead of with drugs that are harder to break.....atleast if you are doing drugs, lie...lol.....

she wasn't asking you morons if it was "cute" she was asking how she could convice her parents to let her get a lip peircing, you don't always have to throw your opinons in your answers, losers. well, you could always try talking with them, and take them to the nearest peircing place so they could talk with a peircer. ease their mines a bit. or you could just get over it and wait until you're 18. i have heard you have to be 16 and older to get anything peirced besides the ears. and 18+ w/o a parent. i dont suggest peircing it yourself, you could hurt yourself badly.
just talk with them, and look around and see who peirces kids your age.

I had a friend that got her lip peirced and it was okay for a while then it got infected and she had to get her bottom lip cut away. Now she is very unattractive and she cries to herself all the time wishing she wasn't so dumb by getting it done in the first place.
She can't even smile properly and the guys keep far away from her. Think twice before getting it done.

You should wait until you are 18. Then if you still want one you can get one. I don't think any parent would let their daughter or son get their lip pierced.

Go out with youre friends and get it done without telling them. That's what I did (I was 13)...they didnt like it at the begining but they got used to it...
Or if you have to be 18+ or have an guardian with you........take an older sibling with you.

I personally think your a little to young, and as long as you live under your parents roof you have to go by their rules. Just write down the pros of having it and come up with the cons, show it to your parents. Make a valid case of why you want it, not just because all your friends have it.
