When you go see the doctor, he'll ask you when your last period was; the first day of red blood flow. He'll count 40 weeks away from that. You can do that if you have a calendar. If you don't, count backwards 3 months, and add 5 days from your last period. That will give you an idea. If you know when you ovulated, your due date will be 38 weeks after that. If all you know is your period hasn't come in a while, an ultrasound on the embryo will be your best bet.
Remember a due date is never 'exact'. Just because you had your period on the 1st doesn't mean you actually ovulated and conceived 14 days later.
Good luck!

Average gestation is 40 weeks. However some women take longer and some not as long. If you know EXACTLY what day you conceived, I'd suggest counting 38 weeks from that date.
The 40 week rule is applied when calculating from the date you started your last menstral period, and under the assumption that all women ovulate 2 weeks after the beginning of their last period.
But, the baby is going to come when he feels like it...at least you can get a good idea tho'.

you can use those online due date calculators, however it is never 100% accurate. Your due date is calculated as 40 weeks from the First day of last menstral period.
hope this helps, good luck and congratulations :)

You can't get an exact due date, but the approximate due date is 40 weeks after your LMP. Use an online calculator, and enter the information and it will tell you.

I think the best way is to get a sonogram, which your doctor should suggest right off anyway. They will give you a date. Though it's odd, for my two kids the dates they gave were exactly 3 days before they were born for both.

Congratulations! There are calculators on-line that will calculate your due date based on the date of your last period. Unfortunately there is no exact date ~ the baby will come when he/she is ready!

Go to your doctor. He will tell you the exact date. It is usually 38-40 weeks after your missed period.
