Yes, you can still be pregnant and have your period while on the birth control pill. I was pregnant and I was still getting my periods and was on the pill.

When I was on the Pill for a few years in my late 20s (am 52 now and don't have my ovaries anymore so all that is over!), I remember that I did still have regular bleeding, but it was not as heavy or painful as my periods had been. Mind you, after I stopped the Pill, my periods were different from before, always starting with about a week of "spotting" and bad PMT before starting properly. So that might be something to consider against the obvious advantages of being on it....

It is pretty good for birth control, but you might have to take extra precaution at times when you have a tummy upset (diarrhoea, vomiting.....) or if you have not been taking it like clockwork every 24 hours!

Blessings, Jill

YES!!! I was 3 months pregnant with my first child and didn't even know it. I had a regular period never got sickness of any kind wasn't overly tired etc. nothing , zip, nada. The only reason I took the test was because I was bitchy, and my co-worker dared me too. And whamo there it was positive. It was the scariest day of my life but the best to. Good luck.

If you get pregnant when on the pill, you won't have a period. The pregnancy hormones override the hormones in the pill that cause you to have a monthly breakthrough bleed.

Well it's not a real period if you are pregnant, but you can have bleeding. You should always take a test just to be sure, since many women mistake bleeding for their period.

I would doubt it very much, you are probably worrying too much and that is why you havent had your period
