He is breasfted, but not exclusively. I supplement with Nestle Good Start soy-based formula (about 50%). No cereal. He seems to be in a good mood, has a soft tummy, no fever, no crying. I called my ped, and they told me to try a rectal thermometer. I've been trying since last night, but nothing is happening. Should I be concerned?

I am having my daughter's 5th birthday party at an indoor splash park. She is inviting her friends from Kindergarten. Some of them I have never met yet. I want to include an rsvp on the invite, but I am not sure how to word it. I want to make sure they tell me yes or no and if they do say yes there child will attend that they really do attend. I want to be tactfull on how I word it because the admission price is a lot of money per child. I don't mind paying for it if people who say they are coming really do show up....Any ideas!!

Me and my hubby have been trying to conceive for three months now.PERIOD: Sept 29-Oct 4. I think i ovulated between Oct 18-22.
I started spotting on Sun Oct 29-Mon Nov 6. wednesday and saturday of that week i didnt spot at all. My cycle are usually 30-36 days. The spotting went from tan brown to dark brown to tan brown again within that week. On tuesday Nov 7, i had some thin white discharge come out. Two days ago my abdomen was so very sensitive like i couldnt have anyone touching it. yesterday the doctor said i was bloated when she gave me a pelvic exam. i also had some cramping only for less than a day and now its gone, felt like i did some sit ups. went to the doctor took a urine test and it was neg, took blood test and i need to wait for the results later today. i also have been going to the bathroom a lot like i have a tiny bit off presure on my bladder. i checked for a bladder infection and she said i had none, no bacteria. what do you think?

See, my husband, son and I are living with my Dad, Mom, Sister, Brother-in-law, and their baby boy. My dad and my nephew both have symptoms of a stomach virus. The symptoms started showing up yesterday morning for my nephew and last night for my dad. My nephew has a fever. My dad does not. Both have been throwing up and both have diarheah (or however you spell that infernal word)

Questions:
-Once you have the virus, when you are most contagious? Are you more contagious before you have symptoms or after or both or neither?
-How long is the incubation period for stomach viruses?
-Would the flu shot help my son not to get it?
-How can you tell the difference between food poisoning and viral infection?
-How are stomach viruses spread?

My BIG concern is that we are going on vacation next week and I'd hate for my son to be sick. If he were to get the virus, do you think he would get it and be over it by next weekend? Oh please say yes. I'm going nuts here!

Why are some people always that you HAVE to be married to have kids? Or just judge you if you are pregnant and not married? I believe this is nonsense, Im 30 weeks pregnant and got married only a month ago if it was up to me I would have waited untill the baby was born or even more but my husband wanted me and the baby in his life insurance and we wanted to make a will to protect our baby's future, we have been living together for 3 years and there is no difference now that we have a marriage certificate, I dont think I was a bad women because I wasnt married, living with him and pregnant, We have a stable & healthy relationship and that is what a baby needs. It drives me insane when I see people saying its sad that you are not married and having a baby or people that think they are better because they are married and are always flauting it in your face. They trash an 18 year old if she is expecting and not married but if she is then she is smart and a good person.

My 8 yr old nephew is steeling from other kids in after care & then lying about it (among other things he lies about). We've tried spanking, "steeling" everything from him till there is only his bed and dresser in his room, & now writing sentences. Nothing seems to phase him. He is a great child besides that; very respectful when u speak 2 him & caring with his 2 younger brothers. He lives with his father & (soon to be) step mother that he calls mommy (of his own choice). His biological mother is not in the picture and has not been for quite some time. He was having problems in school the first few years (lying and acting out), but this year he is extreamly good in school and home, but not in after care where he has tried to steel other kids' things. After care has separated his cubby from everyone else's to make sure he is not steeling things, but this has no effect either. Now, a few of the parents are not allowing their kids to play w/ him anymore, still w/ no effect. Please advise

My best friend told me tha once you have a baby they cut the umbillical cord off and place it back inside of the uterus of the mother. She says that they do this so that the next child will have something to feed off of. Is this really true?

I have been taking my 14 month old daughter to toddlers every week, however if she does not get her own way she screams (really loud) at the other kids. Also if I take her away from something as we have to go or whatever she kicks and trys to hit her head backwards. Am I the only one who is going through this?

I started feeling mvement at 17 weeks, and at 20 I talked to my doc about it because the kicking is getting really intense! Ultrasound, etc, is all normal, and the doc explained that I'm feeling it so much becuase 1. I'm thin and 2. the placenta is behind the baby, pushing it right up to the front of my belly. She told me not to eat sugar, etc..

Now, it's a week later, and this kid won't stop moving. It doesn't even weigh a whole pound yet, but it just kicks so intensely all day long. My friends and boyfriend are all amazed at how strongly even they can feel it, and from the outside, you can see my belly move when the baby kicks.

I'm sure nothing's wrong, but it's starting to make me really nervous about the next 4 months, when the baby really grows. This is my second pregnancy but sadly I lost the last one at 19 weeks, so this feels like uncharted waters to me. Has anyone else carried such a kicker, and how did the pregnancy progress?

I know that to find out if my son is dyslexic, he should be tested by a professional. But before I go there, what signs should I be looking at to even consider that he is? He is 11 & has always hated to read anything. His penmanship is 'sloppy', he doesn't have the same height on all his letters, he prints and won't try cursiving, he puts larger spaces between the letters in a word and won't put a space between 2 separate words. He gets frustrated whenever I try to talk about it with him. And he says that he can see words in his head but can't write them down on paper in that order. Are these signs of dyslexia or another problem?
